Lares Trek To Machu Picchu 4 days

It’s hard to put into words what the 4D/3N  Inca Trail Trek with Trexperience was really like. The chef, the porters and the guides were amazing. The food was far better than we eat at home. The natural beauty beats anything you see in photos or videos.  The hike was hard - physically and mentally - harder than what I’d imagined.   But our guides - Daniel and Susy - helped me when I wasn’t sure I could take another step. Now the aches and pains have faded but the memories will last a lifetime.

It was an excellent hike.Joseph and Ethel were amazed and very helpful. One person on the group had leg cramp and Joseph  gave him his hiking pole and stayed with hime until the person felt better.

Short Inca Trail 2 days to Machu Picchu

The trek was well organized and planned. Everything was as explained except we were pleasantly surprised to find better amenities than expected AND cold beer at every site! Our guide, Roger, was excellent and provided us with expert knowledge and pleasant company. The rest of the crew and chefs were also very friendly and the food was surprisingly good. Although parts of the trek were grueling, they always made it enjoyable.

Choquequirao to Machu Picchu trek 6 days

We went on the 5 day Luxury Inca Trail at the beginning of October. It was a once-in-a-lifetime trip, and the hardest thing I ever did. Kudos to our guide, JJ, who was not only informative, but sensitive to all of our needs. My son had to drop out of the trip after day one because of illness. JJ and TreXPerience took care of everything. He was able to re-join us at Machu Picchu. This trip is beyond luxury. Tea in the cloud forest …. with china. Double mattress bed for my wife and me. Hot shower every day. Portable toilet. Ultra gourmet meals, beautifully presented. The chef, Walter, was incredible. Massage every day. All of this done with a staff of more than 40 people! Leandro the head porter managed amazing people who carried everything and really took care of us. We felt how happy all of the porters were on this trip. And they were all so encouraging. JJ and assistant guide Etel were a great help especially for my wife who was having a hard time with the hike. Assistant guide Luis left the group to personally lead my son back to town and get him to a hotel, and look in on him as he rested. It felt like we were on the trail by ourselves the whole time. Our guide says it’s because the 5 day itinerary has a different, more relaxed timetable compared to the more popular 4-day itineraries. Surreal experience - the changing scenery (ancient farmland, mystical cloud forest, awesomely rugged terrain above the clouds), exploring Inca ruins all along the trail by ourselves, quiet and peaceful without the hundreds of tourists that descend on Machu Picchu. Don’t underestimate how difficult the hike is. But when it’s done, you feel an incredible sense of accomplishment, and you know you’ve seen and done things that only others who have hiked this trail have experienced. Luxury Inca Trail 5D4N - Douglas x6

I can unreservedly recommend choosing Trexperience for your Inca Trail hike. Everything was well planned and coordinated and the trip went without a hitch. They seem to take good care of their staff, especially the porters, and the food provided on the trek went well beyond the expectations of all the hikers. Meal times made it seem more like a glamping expedition. Our guide Cheff Amilcar (Guide Sutta) was outstanding. He shepherded a group ranging from an eight-year-old boy to a fairly old guy (me) with great skill, keeping us well briefed on what to expect and managing to allow people to travel at their own pace while staying together as a group. Sutta is well travelled outside Peru and is well attuned to people from the Anglosphere, having lived in the US and Australia among other places. He seemed to know everyone along the Inca Trail and was adept at getting us to the right place at the best time — ie, to get the best position for entry to the Machu Picchu site as well as the best campsites. He was a great source of knowledge about both the Incan civilisation and archeological sites and the people and culture of modern Peru. A fair percentage of the people on my hike expressed an intention to do the Saltankay hike with Trexperience and, preferably, Cheff Amilcar in the near future. The idea is appealing to me as well though I’ll need to rest up for a bit. It’s a challenging but doable hike even for the borderline elderly.

Inca Trail to Machu Picchu  7 days

We did the 6D/5N combined Salkantay and Inca Trail with Sara as our guide and Alejandro (Chef) and Beto (Chef’s assistant). They did a tremendous and amazing job and we can only highly recommend this professional team to everyone!! Sara is from the Andes, born next to the trail. She not only knows the tracks inside out, but also is extremely knowledgeable about the plants, animals, culture, and history around the track. She and her team motivated us when we were about to give up! Alejandro and Beto surprised us every day with delicious and plentiful breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was magic what they managed to cook in camps, some over 4000m high!! The food was better than in most restaurants we ate during our journey through Peru! Also, we want to especially thank Benedicto (horseman on the Salkantay Trail) and the porteadores (on the Inca Trail). This whole adventure wouldn’t have been possible without them. Our highest respect and appreciation for their hard work! Please tip them, the chefs and your guide accordingly! 

Finally, some remarks on this combo trip: In our view, it combines the best of the two trails: The wilderness, silence and solitude of the Salkantay region and the beauty, vibes and diversity of the Inca trail and the arrival through the sun gate. The package by Trexperience is very good as it includes everything (all entrance, fees, bus ticket from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes, panorama train ticket and bus transfer back to Cusco, all porteadores, and duffel bags for personal stuff). Do not underestimate this track, though! The 6 days are tough, you cross a pass over 5000 m high. But it’s all worth it!! Thanks again from the bottom of our hearts to Sara, Alejandro, Beto, Benedicto and the porteadores for this unforgettable experience!! 

Lastly, dear fellow travelers, show respect for these sacred places, nature and the people. Don’t smoke and listen to music on the trail. Take all your rubbish with you at all times. Treat those that guide you, cook for you and carry your luggage for you with kindness and respect. Thank you!

Experience were excellent, although one of my party was sick on an especially demanding day and the guide never checked on her once we were in camp.  Mainly, my hesitation is with the company, which could really improve its customer service. I would encourage customers to ask highly detailed questions and not assume the company will provide info unless you ask explicitly. For example, it turns out that the Huayna Pichu hike has to be done very quickly in order to fit into their return schedule, something they didn’t mention when we signed up, so two of us had to abandon what has been a rather expensive anticipated highlight.

TreXperience provided a great experience for our group which completed the 5 day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu trail.  The porters and chefs were outstanding and helped us get into camp when we were delayed by rain and slippery conditions on the way down from Dead Woman's Pass.  Sara our guide was outstanding.  She was very knowledgeable about the archeological sites and very helpful on the trail.

Slow Version Inca Trail Tour to Machu Picchu  - 5 days

We stayed at Tambopata Research Center for 4 nights in October.  The TRC was an incredible oasis in the middle of the jungle.  The rooms are all open to the jungle, so be prepared to share your room and the public spaces with jungle inhabitants - Macaws that swoop into the dining room for a breakfast roll, wild boar nosing around the open area in front of your room, monkeys in the trees over the open hallways, and, of course, bugs, lots of bugs, beautiful butterflies and moths, big grasshoppers and beetles, and some bugs you have never seen before.  The evening researcher talks were fascinating.  The guided daily hikes (during the morning, early evening and night) are not strenuous, and go slowly while you, your very knowledgeable guide (who has an incredible ability to spot things) and everyone in your party look above and below for unique and sometimes amazing flora and fauna.  The boat rides on the Tambopata river (morning and evenings, on the way to hikes, and to and from the TRC) were amazing.  The food is excellent and plentiful.  The bar and bartender (Luis) has got to be one of the best in Peru.  It is very hot and humid from morning through late evening, so you will sweat (and take lots of cold showers during ample free time).  Drink lots of water and I suggest you carry a small handheld portable fan in your day pack to help you cool off when the hot humid air is still.  Last bits of advice:  Bring lots of bug spray (we used both spray and lotion and treated all of our clothing with permithrin before we left.)  We also used the red light feature on our headlamps in our room at night so fewer bugs would be attracted by white light to the room when we were showering and getting ready for bed (under the mosquito netting).   Unforgettable once-in-a-lifetime experience and the support for research and Amazon rainforest preservation was the icing on the cake!

Guess we're a little late after the fantastic breakfast, there're no horses at the starting point. We'd to walk a little before our tour guide managed to get 4 horses from the amazing horsewomen and horsemen charging down from the top. They and their horses worked so hard. Highly recommend for folks (who might need some assistance) to get a ride up hill cos coming down was relatively easy.

Rainbow Horse (uphill one way) Keng x4

The trip was great! We'd a fantastic breakfast before the hike. Our team had paid for horse ride up but there're no horses when we got to the starting point. We'd to walk a little before the very hardworking horsewomen and horsemen came running around with their horses. Thankfully our tour guide was ahead of us and managed to grab 4 horses. The ride and the hike up to the Rainbow Mountain were awesome. Incredible views of the different striped of the colorful mountains were breathtaking. Highly recommended. Coming down was relatively easy and another amazing lunch awaiting us. Mucha gracias Team Chef. You're amazing.

Rainbow Mountain & Red Valley Premium Tour

We'd a great time. Day 1 elevation was challenging for me. Trekking poles would come in handy but I'd none. Thankfully one of our team mates lent me one of hers. There's confusion about whether the water would be provided during lunch. The PDF packing sheet said it would but our tour guide said no. Please update your PDF accordingly. 

We ended up have to carry our 2L water plus our big chicken and quinoa lunch box and a bottle water, juice box etc. That's very heavy and totally unexpected.

Pepe, our guide was very good. He's full of helpful instructions and full of knowledge. Patient and funny too. Highly recommended.

Machu Picchu 2D/1N Trip From Cusco

It's hard to say which one I liked more, the day spent in Paru Paru or hiking the Inca Trail. Both days were filled with wonderful education about the history and culture of Peru. Spending the day with the local family  in the Potato Park was so special and so was reaching our final destination at the Sun Gate. Both of our tour guides, Albert, and Joyce were awesome and made the day even more special. This tour is wonderful

Comfort Inca Trail 3 days 2 nights

This tour is hands down one of the best values and experiences we had in Peru. Our guide, Leo was incredible and so pleasant to spend the day with. We learned all about the trail and people who live there. The meals provided were of the highest quality. I couldn't have asked for a better day or better way to see the mountain.

Our trip was awesome due to the our wonderful guides Willian and Ali. The food was delicious and abundant. The porters were incredible and I believe everyone worked really hard to take the best care of us possible!   Willian’s knowledge and enthusiasm to teach us was extraordinary!! I really appreciate every one that made my trip a trip of a lifetime!!!

Our group of four trekkers ages70-75 felt in very good hands with the crew of TreXperience and much of the credit goes to our guide Sara who was
by our side from start to finish.  Her patience, understanding of our limits, compassion and encouragement guaranteed our success. And kudos to the cooks and porters.  Everyone chipped in and made us feel special in so many different ways.  PS our rental equipment was top shelf.  Sleeping bags came will liners, a pillow and foam mattress although we also rented air mattresses. Our tents were roomy 4 man tents for two.  Logistically everything worked out perfectly.

Spent five days on the Salkantay trek to Machu Picchu. Absolutely terrific. So much respect for the porters and cooks. They worked so hard and did everything to keep us happy. Our guide Jose was a gem and went above and beyond to help us get tickets to Machu Picchu when that almost went south. 

I would recommend buying tickets a good month or more in advance. Tickets to Machu Picchu can be exclusively sold at the base but they’re not relatable. We waited in line for three hours for the opportunity to buy a ticket for two days from then. This company pulled strings and got everyone in our crew to Machu Picchu the next day and everyone made it on the train out like the problem never happened.

Ultimate Salkantay trek 5 Days to Machu Picchu

The itinerary, guides, food, adventures and overall experience was exceptional. 
I am a frequent traveler and there is no possible way that I could have put together this type of trip on my own. 
The guides were exceptional in communicating their knowledge of the area, culture and history. 
I must, however, single out one guide in particular, and that is Wilian. He was unbelievable! His Team of chef, sous chef, waiter and porters pampered us the entire time. They gave us "tea time", help with backpacks, cultural information, fantastic meal after meal and presented everything in an incredibly clean environment while out in a jungle. The list of what they did is much much longer! Wilian and his Team absolutely made the trip memorable!

We had an excellent time on this trip! The guides, Marco and Rosita were fantastic and kept our spirits up. They showed indepth knowledge of the area around us and were very encouraging without pushing us. Rosita stayed at the back with those of us who were a little slower and gave us the time we needed to complete each day. 
Rolando, the chef, was awesome and kept on producing fantastic 3 course meals! There was so much food! My vegan diet was catered for at all times, even bringing out a separate vegan cake on the last night! How he managed such amazing food on a camp stove is beyond me!
The porters........... Oh my! They were incredible and this trip would not 9f been possible without them and all their hard work. They were the last to leave the campsites and yet they still overtook us on each day with their heavy packs on their backs. By the time we arrived at each lunch stop and campsite they were already there with the food tent and our sleeping tents all set up and ready. What a fantastic team! We were fortunate to have a great group of hikers also. We all got on well and helped each other out. It's one of the best experiences I've ever had d would definitely recommend trexperience. Thanks guys for making our trek so much fun and so memorable!

Just returned home from an amazing trip to Peru.  Thank you to  TreXperience for organizing a trip of my lifetime!  I let you know sites I wanted to see, and you arranged these, and more.  All hotels, and transport to and from airports, and excursions were included.  There was never a problem.  We had wonderful guides, that shared so much knowledge.  A very special acknowledgement to our guide Jose Luis, chef Eulogio, sous chef Julio, and head porter Leandro.  These incredible men made the 4 day Inca Trail beyond amazing.  Jose Luis lead, encouraged, and shared history and his personal life with us. Talks around the meal tables were a highlight.  And the meals…. OMG, Eulogio and Julio provided us continually with 5 star meals.  The porters under the direction of Leandro, we’re incredible.  Watching them scramble over the trail, carrying huge packs, as we huffed and puffed, was so appreciated and awe inspiring.  I cannot say enough complimentary things albout your agency. I only wish you covered Europe too! 😆. A huge THANK YOU for everything!

We had the most incredible experience with TreXpierence .  From start to finish, their attention to detail and dedication made my trip unforgettable and expectional.   Once I embarked on my journey, I was blown away by the level of service and professionalism.  Jose Luis was an excellent guide.  His knowledge of history and the world is immense. He was passionate about sharing the culture and history of his country.  Jose is a diamond in the rough.  The porters were awesome. They are  the true athletes of the world.  To see them at work is amazing.  Finally, the incredible food, such a surprise on a hiking trip through the Andes Mountains.   Eugilio the chef and Leandro the sous chef made food that you might find in a 5 star restaurant.  TreXpierence has set the bar very high.  I don’t think anything will ever surpass this experience.

We chose TreXperience because of the reviews. We also like TreXperience as they offer women opportunities in a predominantly make world. Our tour guide Sara was a knowledgeable passionate Quechua guide. She was fantastic and became a friend by the end of the trek. She made us feel special and called us Warriors as we were hiking Salkantay and the Inca trail. Sara helped my wife as she got altitude sickness above 14,000ft. Sara carried her pack until we got to about 12,000ft. She was wonderful and kept us focused on the journey.
Our cooks Cernovio and Javier were fantastic. The food they prepared was delicious, nutritious and meals were never repeated. They could be a chef in any 5 star restaurant. Everywas delicious but the Pisco bananas flambé was amazing!!
Our horseman, Wilber was also amazing running up steep mountains to keep the horses and mules aligned. The porters Porfideo, Oswevio, Bassilleo, Florentino, Gabriel and Marsellino carried our gear over the steep Inca trail with pride. Some of the porters have traverythe Inca trail over 700 times, amazing.
Prior to beginning Delta lost our luggage containing our camping gear. We considered canceling the trek. TreXperience iffered to provide the camping gear for free, a wonderful company. Our luggage arrived the day prior to the trek.

Salkantay + Inca Trail Expedition 6 days 5 nights

To be honest, this ticket just to hicke this one mountain was definitely too expensive for $ 75.
I was already there with my inca trail group, so I did not understand, why I had to book a ticket that also includes a tour. Because I didn’t get an extra one. Also you need to be back from the mountain within 2 hours. These were the most expensive hours of my life.

We were lucky to have Sutta as our guide for the Inca Trail. He is a passionate and knowledgeable guide who made us live an extraordinary adventure. He told us the history and culture of the Incas with a lot of details and enthusiasm. He was always smiling and attentive to our needs and questions. He accompanied us with a lot of caution and kindness, motivating us and helping us to overcome the difficulties. It is thanks to him that we were able to fully enjoy this beautiful and unforgettable trek. He is a guide that we will not forget and that we strongly recommend to anyone who wants to do the Inca Trail.

Indeed, we had a wonderful time during the 4 days Salkantay Trek.
We were lucky with our guides José and Sarah, two persons who did a wonderful job.
The environment was great, the food was delicious, the organisation was top.
So thank you to our guides, but also to the cooks and the horsemen!
The only thing we liked less, was the repetititive hint to give a good tip at the end of the trail.
It is obvious that we give a tip to those people, but there was not more opportunity to do it spontaniously.
And to be honest, the price of the trek (we did it as a 7 persons family) already is quite expensive, also without the tip of 10%.
Bt as I said: the Salkantay trek was an unforgettable experience!!

Classic Salkantay Trek 4 Days To Machu Picchu

My adult daughter and I had a great experience on our recent 4-day Inca Trail hike. Our guide Marco shared many insights into the Inca beliefs and traditions as well as their history while we were surrounded by natural beauty or Inca ruins. He and the other guide Yoner made sure everyone made it successfully to the end of this physically challenging hike with compassion and patience. The accompanying chef, Sinchi, created gourmet meals at every meal with his porter team. I was happy we chose this company as Marco cared a lot about the well-being of the porters

I contacted TreXperience with barely a three weeks headstart to organize a personalized trip all around Peru, starting from Lima and ending in Cusco, with stops in the Ballestas Islands, Nazca, the Sacred Valley, Rainbow Mountain and, of course, the iconic Machu Picchu by way of the Inca Trail.

Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 2 days with Camping

28年ぶりのマチュピチュはいろいろ変わっていましたが、その素晴らしさは不変だったので、ここではツアーについて。「Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu 2 days」に参加しました。同じようなツアーを開催している他の会社との比較はできませんが、この会社は返事も早く、事前の説明も非常に丁寧でした。WhatsAppで頻繁に連絡があり、安心できました。ただ、WhatsAppもLINEと同様に電話番号にSMSで紐付けて使用するので、日本を出国前にWhatsAppをスマホにインストールしてセットアップしておいた方が良いと思います。ツアーガイドの英語は聞き取りやすく、話の内容もわかりやすかったです。ツアー料金に含まれている食事やホテルも悪くありませんでした。もしまたマチュピチュに行くことがあれば、この会社のツアーに参加したいです。

We had a wonderful time doing our Salkantay Trek with Trexperience! We were only two people in our group and had one tourguide, one chef, one chaf assistant and one horseman. All of them were very nice and did everything to make us feel comfortable. We enjoyed the trip a lot even though the walking was challenging for us some time.

Once-in-a-life experience. The trek is very well planned. Challenging but every step worths it. Each day, the landscape is different and you get to see different aspects of the Andes.

Our guide Filio is absolutely amazing. Super experienced and supportive. Most importantly, he is so knowledgeable. The history, the culture, the religion, vegetation and all the plants in the Andes. He told us a lot on how people live here, in the past and also now. Definitely the most important part of the trekking experience we didn't even expect. The food is amazing. Thanks to our chefs Amilcal and Beto, and our horseman Ali. Some dishes are among the best food we had in Peru. The food is so delicious that often we had too much to hike.

Definitely recommend. The company also treats the staff well.

I had an amazing time on the Super Sacred Valley Tour.  I would highly recommend taking this tour as we visited a number of impressive sites with rich histories.  I was also extremely grateful to have Leo as a tour guide.  We were a small group and Leo took the time to answer all of our questions and explain the history and importance of all the sites we visited.  He was never in a rush and genuinely seemed to enjoy teaching as much as he could -- we were very happy to listen. As a tour company, their knowledge, experience, and expertise were unmatched.  Our tour guides, Miguel (Micky) and Toro were an absolute pleasure to be around, and taught me so much about the Inca culture along the way.  I felt extremely comfortable in their hands and they made the experience so much better than I could have imagined.  Both Miguel and Toro were unbelievable friendly, kind, and accepting of everyone.  I absolutely would trust them with my life on this trail and now consider them my lifelong friends.  Not to mention, our porters were an unbelievable group of people.  It was truly an honour getting to know each and every one of them -- who are incredibly hard-working and humble people.  Led by the head porter, Santos, each time we got to  our campsite we were greeted with an applause and smiling faces -- it was truly remarkable and an unforgettable experience.  Our head cook, Balbino, and our second cook, Wilber, cooked some of the best meals I've eaten in my life.  I think I ate better on this hike than I do in my day-to-day life which is hard to believe considering all of the food and equipment needed to be carried and set up each day.  Our waiter, Benito, also did an amazing job.  He was incredibly attentive and did not ask for anything in return.  All-in-all, TreXperience far exceeded my expectations on this trip, and I could not have picked a better company to take me on this once-in-a-lifetime adventure.  I will fondly remember this trip forever -- thank you.  

The Inca Trail was an unforgettable experience in every way: from beginning to end, wonderful landscapes.

Huayna Picchu is an intense vertical hike that rewards you with amazing 360 views from high above Machu Pichu. Highly recommended. Make sure you budget time for it. It took us around 45 minutes to reach the top and we were passing people along the way.

We were 19 participants from different countries who organised a tailor made 2 weeks trip to Peru, the preparation stage with Alvaro was done in a very professional and flexible way, he took care of all the details and updated our trip based on our needs ! Our 4 days Inca trail to Machu Picchu with Edy and Katia was outstanding both of them were so caring, supportive and made this journey possible! Both of them are outstanding guides and great people with lots of background cultural information, they took care of each participant based on their personal needs.
All booked hotels were up to good standards and transportation were of good quality.

Absolutely incredible trip with a locally owned company! Every single detail with TreXperience is perfect. Amazing food, great guides, perfectly organized.. honestly one of the best trips of my life!

We did the 2 day short Inca trail in early August during the drier season.  The trip with our guide Sutta was very well managed, and he was a great help with addressing everything. The trip was 4 people that included my daughter and me along with very nice couple from Germany that was traveling the globe.  We had done Humantay the day before, so the few sections of steeper stairs were a lot of work, but the lower elevation made it easier.  The scenery along the way and the setting of Machu Picchu were spectacular, and we were very pleased with the trip.  

What a wonderful team we had. They did everything possible to make our journey a safe and memorable trek. Thanks to Wilian, Ali, Julio Cesar and the entire team
