Madeira is an island of dramatic contrasts—where rugged volcanic peaks rise above the clouds, lush forests hide cascading waterfalls, and towering cliffs plunge into the turquoise Atlantic Ocean.

It's the kind of place where you can hike along mountaintops at sunrise, follow lush levada trails through the forest, rappel down waterfalls, swim in natural volcanic pools, and spot whales and dolphins along the coast—all in the same journey.

Madeira feels wild, adventurous, and almost otherworldly. If you're craving epic scenery, outdoor adventure, connection, and experiences that make you feel fully alive, this is the trip for you.

After arriving in Lisbon and settling into our accommodations at the charming and centrally located Hotel Borges Chiado, we'll gather for our first evening together and kick off the adventure with a welcome dinner in the heart of Lisbon.

This is an opportunity to meet the incredible women you'll be sharing the journey with, connect over delicious Portuguese food, and soak in the excitement of everything that lies ahead.

Please arrive at Lisbon Airport no later than 3PM (local time) on April 29, 2027.

Today we'll dive into the history, culture, flavors, and charm of Lisbon on a private tuk-tuk and food tour through the heart of the city. We'll wind our way through colorful neighborhoods and cobblestone streets, stopping at iconic landmarks and scenic viewpoints while tasting some of the local foods and flavors Portugal is known for.

After our tour, the rest of the afternoon is yours to explore! Wander the streets of Chiado and Bairro Alto, shop for local treasures, find the perfect pastel de nata, or simply grab a seat at a sidewalk café and soak in the energy of the city.

We'll come back together in the evening for dinner and our final night in Lisbon before heading to the island of Madeira the following morning.

Today we'll say goodbye to Lisbon and fly to the spectacular island of Madeira, where the adventure really begins! After checking into the Moon & Sun Hotel in Funchal and enjoying lunch, we'll head out to explore one of the island's most dramatic landscapes.

We'll hike the Ponta de São Lourenço peninsula, a stunning trail along Madeira's rugged eastern coastline. Unlike the lush green landscapes we'll experience later in the trip, this part of the island is wild and volcanic, with towering sea cliffs, colorful rock formations, and sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean in nearly every direction.

After our hike, we'll make our way to Ponta do Rosto to watch the sun dip toward the horizon before returning to Funchal for dinner and a well-earned night's rest.

Get ready for one of the most adventurous days of the trip! Today we'll experience Madeira from an entirely different perspective on an epic canyoning adventure through the island's lush interior.

With experienced guides leading the way, we'll make our way through a beautiful canyon by rappelling down waterfalls, scrambling over rocks, swimming through natural pools, and navigating through the forest. No previous canyoning experience is necessary—just an adventurous spirit and willingness to get a little wet!

After several hours of adventure, we'll have the afternoon to slow down, recharge, and visit the spectacular Monte Palace Tropical Gardens, wandering through lush tropical gardens filled with exotic plants, waterfalls, ponds, sculptures, and beautiful views over Funchal.

Today we'll rise early for one of Madeira's most iconic and unforgettable adventures—the spectacular Pico do Areeiro to Pico Ruivo hike.

We'll begin around sunrise, hiking high above the clouds through Madeira's dramatic central mountain range. The trail winds along rugged ridgelines, through mountain tunnels, and beneath towering volcanic peaks, with breathtaking views unfolding around nearly every corner. Our journey leads us toward Pico Ruivo, the highest point on the island, where we'll take in panoramic views across Madeira.

After approximately five hours on the trail, we'll enjoy lunch and return to Funchal for a well-earned afternoon of free time. Relax at the hotel, wander the streets, shop, or simply put your feet up after an incredible morning in the mountains.

We'll gather again that evening for dinner near our hotel and celebrate another epic day together.

This morning, we'll trade the mountains for the sea as we set sail along Madeira's beautiful coastline on a dolphin and whale-watching catamaran tour. We'll spend a few hours cruising the Atlantic in search of the dolphins, whales, and other marine life that frequent the waters surrounding the island while taking in Madeira's dramatic coastline from the water.

Later, we'll lace up our hiking shoes again for the Levada Nova & Levada do Moinho Loop, a beautiful trail that follows Madeira's famous irrigation channels through lush countryside, waterfalls, tunnels, and dramatic cliffside scenery.

We'll finish our adventure at Miradouro do Espigão, taking in the sweeping mountain and valley views as the sun goes down, before returning to Funchal for dinner and our final night in the city.

Today we'll leave Funchal behind and journey to Madeira's spectacular north coast, where lush mountains, volcanic landscapes, and dramatic ocean views await.

We'll wander through the mystical Fanal Forest, an ancient laurel forest filled with centuries-old trees and an almost otherworldly atmosphere. From there, we'll continue to Porto Moniz, where we'll have the chance to swim in the famous natural volcanic pools carved into the rugged coastline.

Our adventure continues along the coast to Seixal, known for its striking black-sand beach, sea caves, waterfalls, and towering green cliffs. If time allows, we'll also stop at the Véu da Noiva viewpoint for another incredible view of Madeira's dramatic coastline.

We'll end the day with dinner in Seixal before settling into our accommodations at Pestana Quinta do Arco Nature & Rose Garden Hotel surrounded by the natural beauty of Madeira's north side.

Our final full day begins with sunrise at Miradouro da Bica da Cana, where we'll watch the morning light illuminate Madeira's mountains and valleys from above.

Afterward, we'll embark on our final hike—the spectacular Levada do Caldeirão Verde. This lush trail follows one of Madeira's historic levadas deep into the Laurissilva forest, passing through tunnels, alongside steep mountainsides, and beneath waterfalls before reaching the impressive Caldeirão Verde waterfall, tucked inside a towering green canyon.

Tonight, we'll gather for a special final dinner to celebrate everything we've experienced together—the adventures, challenges, laughter, connections, and memories we've created along the way.

After an unforgettable week together, it's time to say goodbye to Madeira and begin the journey home. We'll leave with so much more than photos—new friendships, incredible memories, a deeper sense of connection, and the confidence that comes from saying YES to adventure.
