Mardi Himal Trek takes you to Nepal's North Mid-West Himalaya region within the Annapurna Himal mountain range which includes magnificent Machhapuchare peaks due to its beautiful twin-shaped summits, one of the virgin unclimbed peaks in the whole Himalaya where Mardi Himal located. Mardi Base camp trek areas also are known as ‘Other Sanctuary’ when early pioneers and explorers discovered this awesome spot way back in the early 1960s reminded of the main Annapurna Sanctuary christened with the same name.
Mardi Trekking begins from scenic Pokhara Valley located on the laps of Annapurna Himalaya with serene Phewa and Begnas Lakes, where the walk leads with a short drive to the starting point of the trek heading into mid-hills around traditional Gurung villages, the tribe of Annapurna region. Walking on high ridges in the shade of Annapurna and Machhapuchare Himal and then entering into lovely cool rhododendron-oaks and pine forest, soon leaving tree lines as our route leads higher area at Mardi Himal base camp, where you can marvel at the amazing panorama of white-snow capped mountains of Annapurna-Dhaulagiri and Manaslu in the east direction.
From Pokhara, our journey starts with an exciting short drive towards the mid-hills of Annapurna to reach Kande village. It lies on the roadside of the Pokhara / Beni highway. A beautiful walk is going to start from here an hour or more climb through the cool shade of the forest brings you a wonderful spot at Thulo-Kharka. However, it's popularly called Australian Camp where you can rest with exceptional views of the whole Annapurna sparkling peaks with the Manaslu Himalayas too. Where you can have a lunch break then trek to gradually up to Dearali. It's one of the best places to discover the stunning scenarios and landscapes.
