Mera Peak (6,476 m/21,245 ft) is the highest climbing peak of Nepal in Khumbu, Everest Region that does not require any technical skills and only requires basic mountaineering skills and descent fitness level.
Five of the world’s highest mountains can be seen from the top of the peak namely, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Cho-you, Manaslu and Kanchenjunga.
We will follow the Standard North Route to the summit, along the way learning to walk on rixed ropes and cross some of the world’s most spectacular glaciers.
During the trek from Lukla to Khare, we pass some of the very remote villages and forest of the Hinko valley. After crossing Zatra La (4,600m), we make a steep descend to Hinko Valley. We set the camp at High Camp at 5,800 m before we finally summit Mera Peak. From High camp, we get amazing views of mountain vista and glaciers.
