This tour is exclusively offered for ICLE members attending the ICLE National Conference in Lincoln Nebraska July 2025.
Join us on a mini pilgrimage and tour to Boys Town in Omaha, Nebraska, a place of hope and transformation founded by Father Edward J. Flanagan in 1917. Father Flanagan, a Catholic priest, dedicated his life to helping homeless and troubled boys, believing that "there are no bad boys, only bad environments, bad training, and bad examples." His vision grew into a nationally recognized community that has provided care, education, and faith-based guidance to countless children in need. Today, Boys Town continues his mission, offering support to at-risk youth and families through a network of services across the country.
During our visit, you will have the opportunity to explore the historic Boys Town campus, including the Hall of History, where you’ll learn about Father Flanagan’s legacy and the impact of Boys Town over the decades.
(Departing from the St. Thomas Aquinas Church at the UNL Newman Center at 5pm and returning to the Marriott Cornhusker Hotel at 9pm)
