Gamboa is a small town where Gatun Lake meets Chagres River. It was

created in 1911 to allocated workers during the construction of the Panama

Canal.

In this trip we will navigate part of Gatun Lake until we reach Monkey Island,

there will share a nice experience with these fun animals in their natural

habitat.

In Monkey Island there are four species of monkeys: cariblancos, tamarins,

whitefaces and howlers. In addition, there are more than 300 species of birds

that inhabit the island and are commonly studied by local and foreign

scientists.

Upon returning, well make a stop at the Miraflores Visitor Center. Here you will see the Imax movie of the Panama Canal with Morgan Freeman and go into the visitor center were you can see the ships from up close.
