Nicaragua is the original Rise Up destination, and where the owners of Rise Up have called home for the last fifteen years. Our local knowledge, connection to the community, and love for this place, makes for an authentic surf retreat experience.

AVOID!!! I went a few years back with friends and loved it. Unfortunately, this time around it was a mess. Their information was incorrect and misleading. There are several good camps in Nicaragua, I recommend finding another.

I had THE BEST time at Rise Up. The Surf coaches were all very knowledgeable and awesome! Shout out to Paige and Alek for their thoughtful tips. I feel like I greatly improved my surfing abilities while at Rise Up. The food was also incredible, healthy and delicious. It was so nice to review the itinerary each night for the next day and have some flexibility around the afternoon activities. Grateful to Norvin and Elmer for driving us to such cool local spots. I also loved daily yoga with CiCi! I want to make this an annual trip, thank you to the whole Rise Up crew for such an incredible experience :). I will be back!

We had the time of our Life!!!!
This was the best retreat I ever went to. It was so well organised, the surf teachers were amazing, the location beyond words and every request has been fulfilled. I can highly highly recommend it and we will for sure come again. Thank you so much, dear Rise up team!

Rise up retreats are always a great time. The location was stunning and all the staff are wonderful. Surf instructors are super knowledgeable and help make you feel comfortable while helping you learn a lot! It was an incredible week, I would highly recommend!
