Reset, renew, and nourish yourself this Fall on the beautiful Maui North Shore. Lumeria is a tropical jewel set on 5.6 acres of private high country land offering beautiful views of the north shore and central valley. Lumeria Maui is located between the famous historic plantation towns of Paia and Makawao, with easy access to the best beaches and surf breaks on Maui’s north shore as well as a plethora of offsite adventures such as waterfall and bamboo forest hikes, sparkling beaches, snorkeling, kayaking, SUP and surfing.
You will start each morning with an invigorating and grounding yoga flow. The days are intentionally designed with ease to allow you to lounge poolside with a good book, indulge in spa treatments, explore the island on your own, or join our yoga teachers on planned excursions to our favorite beaches and guided hikes. Late afternoon gentle flow, yin, or restorative yoga classes will be offered daily to ease into the evening.
Morning coffee, fruit and snacks will be out daily before yoga. Following yoga, you will enjoy daily hot breakfast complete with locally made grains, granola and breads. Celebrated chefs will prepare seasonal, farm-to-table, and coursed dinners nightly for us to enjoy together.
This will be a week filled with tropical energy, laughter, adventure, and connection. You will grow your yoga practice, show yourself care and love, and live aloha. Return home renewed, reset, and refreshed!
About the Instructors
Temple Schauble:
As a 20-year yoga practitioner and teacher for ten years, Temple’s mission is to offer a yoga and breath practice that will help her students reduce levels of stress, cultivate inner peace and create space for more joy in their lives. Her teaching is based on a blend of styles, including an alignment-based methodology and the mind-body-breath integration of Kripalu Yoga Center, where she did her teacher training. She joined the studio as a Co-owner in 2020. In addition to teaching, Temple has enjoyed having the opportunity to work with community members, teachers and students at all three studios. She has experienced first-hand the importance of practicing yoga for well-being and this inspires her to share the benefits of this practice with her students. Her classes move between smoothly flowing poses to build stamina and strength and end with more restorative poses to open and rebalance the body.
Temple is Co-Owner at Metta Yoga Studios in Marin County, California.
July Johnson:
July’s classes focus on moving the body with the breath in a way that nourishes and supports each individual. July pays attention to proper alignment and helps you feel into each pose so as to create the muscle memory of the repetitive shapes of seemingly different postures. Her class is at times challenging yet always fulfilling, and she would love your company on the mat!
Growing up with dance, gymnastics and a variety of sports, July has always been drawn to movement. She began yoga nearly 20 years ago while in graduate school. Yoga provided clarity and connection in breath, body and mind and has continued to do so ever since. Over the years, July's personal practice has evolved from a fiery flow with dripping sweat, to nurturing prenatal, to rejuvenating postnatal, and lately into a breath based moving meditation of connectedness. July received her 200-hour teaching credential in 2014 from Yoga Tree and continues to study with renowned teachers locally and nationwide. July can be reached at www.julyjohnsonyoga.com
