Dates: October 11 – October 20, 2026
Destinations: Verona, Bologna, Lake Garda/Venice
Trip length: 10 days / 9 nights
As the founder of A Solo Woman Traveling, I have extensive experience creating small group tours in Europe. I've spent over a decade exploring Europe as a solo woman, and I know the kind of trip that stays with you.
That’s exactly what this Northern Italy escape is all about: connection, culture, and a little indulgence, designed with solo female travelers in mind.
Over 10 unforgettable days, we’ll wander through storybook towns, sip wine in sun-drenched vineyards, and soak up that signature Italian charm, one cobblestone street at a time.
We’ll start in Verona with bikes, pasta-making, and a spritz or two. Then it’s off to the shores of Lake Garda, into the heart of Bologna’s food scene, and through the rolling hills of Valpolicella for an Amarone tasting you won’t forget.
And just when you think Italy can’t get any better, we’ll finish in Venice, gliding through quiet canals and living like locals.
This trip is for women who want more than a checklist. It’s for those craving meaningful travel, good conversation, and the kind of memories that stick long after the gelato melts.
Come solo. Leave with stories, connection, and a renewed sense of adventure.
Women who want connection, culture, and comfort — without early mornings or constant hotel changes. Perfect for solo travelers who want companionship and independence.

Tips for guides
Arrive in Verona! We’ll settle into our hotel and kick things off with a warm welcome dinner to get to know each other.
Explore Verona’s historic streets on a 2-hour guided walking tour, then you have time to explore the city on your own or go back to our hotel and relax.
Enjoy a full-day excursion to beautiful Lake Garda, where you'll explore the charming lakeside towns of Sirmione and Lazise. Begin with a guided walk through Sirmione's historic old town, then enjoy free time to wander at your own pace or upgrade your visit with an optional tour of the ancient Grotte di Catullo. A scenic boat ride across the lake to Lazise is included, where you'll have more free time to stroll the picturesque streets, browse local shops, or relax at a café by the water.
Enjoy a private half-day wine experience in the beautiful Valpolicella region, visiting two family-owned wineries known for producing the area's world-famous Amarone and Ripasso wines. You'll learn about the winemaking process, explore vineyards and historic cellars, and enjoy guided tastings paired with local specialties. With beautiful countryside views and plenty of time to relax, it's the perfect afternoon experiencing one of Italy's most celebrated wine regions together.
Today you can relax in the morning and explore Verona on your own time. Later we meet as a group and participant in a cooking class for dinner.
Enjoy a private hands-on cooking class in Verona, where you'll learn how to make fresh pasta and tiramisu from scratch. Start with a glass of Prosecco, then get step-by-step guidance on creating the perfect pasta dough and classic Italian dessert. Afterward, sit down together to enjoy your homemade meal with a glass of wine.
Spend the day exploring the elegant city of Vicenza at your own pace. Known for its beautiful architecture, charming piazzas, and relaxed atmosphere, Vicenza is the perfect place to wander without a schedule. Browse local boutiques, visit historic landmarks, enjoy a leisurely lunch, or simply soak up the atmosphere with a coffee in one of the city's picturesque squares before returning to Verona.
A full day in Bologna where we’ll dive into local flavors and history with a delicious guided walking tour (come hungry!).
We’ll hop a train to Venice, check in to our new hotel, then eat and sip our way through hidden bacari like true Venetians.
See the best of Venice on a guided walking tour, then float through the canals on a private gondola ride. We’ll wrap it all up with a special farewell dinner.
Say arrivederci to Italy! Private transfers will take you to the airport for your flight home—full heart, full camera roll.
