Norway is the country of fjords and mountains. It is als a paradise for motorcycling because the country is mountinous almost everywhere and the roads are therefore very twisty, and many of them are still unpaved. That offers a thrilling motorcycle tour, starting in Oslo, where the open road beckons. The breathtaking landscapes of lush valleys and towering mountains, all the way to the majestic Sognefjord. The crystal-clear waters and surrounding peaks set the stage for an unforgettable experience. From there, the ride continues towards the iconic Geirangerfjord, with its dramatic cliffs and cascading waterfalls, before conquering the legendary Trollstigen mountain pass. This winding route, carved into the heart of the mountains, offers some of the most jawdropping views in the world. After passing through the picturesque village of Sunndalsöra, the gravel tracks leads to Lillehammer, known for its Olympic history and stunning scenery. The final leg of the trip brings you back to Oslo, with memories created of an epic adventure of many wast gravel roads, mountain passes and new friends.
When you arrive to Oslo we pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel where we have arranged dinner to make you feel at home while getting to know your new friends. We will also have a briefing about the tour.
The first day we get out of the concrete area and head to the nature. As soon as we leave the town it will be more of a beautiful scenery with valleys and hills, a mixture of flat roads by rivers, by small lakes, in forests, straight roads, windy roads, roads through open landscape and mountain roads, and this is only the first day. We stay in the small village Ål at a comfortable hotel
After a hearty breakfast at the hotel we continue to reach higher altitudes before the road drops down to sea level. Now we are in “fjord land” and will, for a few days, enjoy some of mothernature’s most beautiful creations, where narrow fjords meet the mountains. We arrive at Aurdalsfjorden and eventually Flåm which boasts one of the world’s steepest railways and a quaint little port where cruise ships usually stop. The winding road follows Sognefjordens beautiful shore past small villages and orchards. We spend the night in Balestrand just by Sognefjorden, which is the world’s second longest fjord.
We leave the beautiful hotel and continue north towards Geiranger, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world. Geiranger has been included on UNESCOs list since 2005 and is considered to be among the most scenically outstanding fjord areas on the planet. On the way there you will follow rivers through fertile farmland up on mountains before arriving at the jewel in the crown of the Norwegian Fjords. Here we will stay for the night with a breathtaking view.
After breakfast we head towards Ådalsnes and TROLLSTIGEN (the trolls’ ladder) Scandinavians most famous road and the start of our descent. We ride the beautiful road by the fjord to Sunndalsöra where we say goodbye to the fjord area and ride through forests on up the mountains gravel roads. We stay at our comfortable hotel and have a good time over dinner reflecting on the amazing days` ride.
In the morning we get up on the bikes and now follow the valley and then the road leading us up on the mountain. There we will ride the small gravel roads and get a wonderful views along the road.
We start the day by riding up on the small gravel road up on the mountain above the tree line.Later on we follow windy roads along a river that takes us down to the village were we will stay for the night.
This day will be a very good day for all you adventure riders, because we will ride on very remote gravel roads in a beautiful area. You will probably ride with a smile the whole day.here we will ride the small gravel roads and get a wonderful view over the mountains with scattered lakes. We will pass river crossings just to spice up the ride a bit more. At the end of the day the road takes us down to a valley where we will stay at a relaxing hotel in the small village of Otta.
We cross a bridge over the river and follow it for a while before the gravel road leads us up to small farms situated on the mountainside where roads pass through pine forests with many lakes. The trails also continues at higher altitude, above the tree line where you will have an astonish view over the vast landscape. We will stay in Lillehammer where the winter Olympics were held in 1994.
To get as much as we can from the tour, we leave the vally with the river and the popular ski resort to get in to the wilderness of Norway in the area where just the nature exist and the trails that leads us though it on mountains and forests. By the afternoon we´re getting back to civilazation passing small villages and enjoy the dinner together chatting about all the good memories and adventure we went through.
