Sweden is a big country with big vast areas of hidden trails and gravel tracks which leading you around beautiful lakes and mountains surrounded by wild orests. If we are lucky we might see the king of the forests, a big moose or even a wolf as we pass through their territory. We ride on small, hidden roads from southern Sweden to the mountains and one day in Norway and back. There will be Stunning roads, tracks and trails crisscross this wilderness and provide plenty of riding fun; after all, this is an adventure in the very remote areas. The natural beauty, outstanding scenery and excellent riding on empty roads are our reward. Would you like to ride a motorcycle along a fjord surrounded by snow covered mountains and gravel roads on high mountains with mile wide views and also get very good service? Then this is the perfect holiday package for you. We ride through different types of landscape where you will see some of the most beautiful places in the world.The roads are 75% tarmac and 25% gravel. The first half is mainly on tarmac and the last days we will get a mix of surface. The tarmac roads we use are often small and windy. The gravel roads are easy to ride. We promise you that you will have a fantastic motorcycle experience, with good service, delicious food and great motorcycle riding. The trip starts and ends in Oslo and a we pick you up on arrival and take care of you for the whole tour. Our guide rides with you on a motorcycle and our service car with mechanic bring your luggage and a reserve motorbike. The hotels we stay at are comfortable hotels. When you arrive to Oslos airport Gardemoen we pick you up at the airport and take you to the hotel where we have arranged dinner to make you feel at home while getting to know your new friends. We will also have a briefing about the tour.

Arrival

Day 1

The first day we get out of Oslo and head to the nature. As soon as we leave the town it will be more of a beautiful scenery with valleys and hills, a mixture of flat roads by rivers, by small lakes, in forests, straight roads, windy roads, roads through open landscape and mountain roads, and this is only the first day. We stay in the small village Ål at a comfortable hotel

Oslo-Ål 250 km

Day 2

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel we continue to reach higher altitudes before the road drops down to sea level. Now we are in “fjord land” and will, for a few days, enjoy some of mother-nature’s most beautiful creations, where narrow fjords meet the mountains. We arrive at Aurdalsfjorden and eventually Flåm which boasts one of the world’s steepest railways and a quaint little port where cruise ships usually stop. The winding road follows Sognefjordens beautiful shore past small villages and orchards. We spend the night just by Sognefjorden, which is the world’s second longest fjord.

Ål-Sognefjord 300 km

Day 3

We leave the beautiful hotel and continue north towards Geiranger, one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in the world. Geiranger has been included on UNESCOs list since 2005 and is considered to be among the most scenically outstanding fjord areas on the planet. On the way there you will follow rivers through fertile farmland up on mountains before arriving at the jewel in the crown of the Norwegian Fjords. Here we will stay for the night with a breathtaking view.

Sognefjord-Geiranger 260 km

Day 4

After breakfast we head towards Ådalsnes and TROLLSTIGEN (the trolls’ ladder) Scandinavians most famous road and the start of our descent. We ride the beautiful road by the fjord to Sunndalsöra where we say goodbye to the fjord area and ride through forests on up the mountains gravel roads. We stay at our comfortable hotel and have a good time over dinner reflecting on the amazing days` ride.

Geiranger-Sunndalsöra 250 km

Day 5

In the morning we get up on the bikes and now follow the valley and then the road leading us up on the mountain. There we will ride the small gravel roads and get a wonderful view over the mountains with scattered lakes. We will pass river crossings just to spice up the ride a bit more. At the end of the day the road takes us down to a valley where we will stay at a relaxing hotel in the small village of Otta.

Sunndalsöra-Otta 245 km

Day 6

We cross a bridge over the river and follow the gravel road up to small farms situated on the mountainside. We continue on gravel roads through pine forests with many lakes and rivers and later on we pass the area of Lillehammer where the winter Olympics were held in 1994. At the end of the day we ride beside the river Lågen with a great view of the river valley, at times riding up or down the valley wall on zig zag roads. Finally, we arrive at the hotel located by a beautiful lake where we have our farewell-dinner.

Otta-Oslo 265 km

Day 7

Transfer day, after the breakfast we take you, together with your wonderful memories, to the airport which is only 30 minutes away your bike tour in Norway is over and you got new friends and memories from your Norway motorcycle tour.

Do you want to ride 5 days in off-road paradise on more or less empty roads?&nbsp; This is a great tour of active riding for you who want to spend your motorcycle adventure on winding gravel roads and trails in the deep forests and and along medows in Småland. We will travel on slow dirt trails and fast gravel roads, and all between that. There are flat parts and some hilly areas were you feel as going on a rollercoaster.&nbsp; Our tours are made to be as entertaining as possible, because just we love active riding. If you want to ride on gravel and are a road biker to the level of experienced off road biker this is the package for you, this place is the paradise of gravel. For sure you will enjoy this package.&nbsp; On top on that we put some activities, like clay pigeon shooting or visit the hotel spa, in the evenings, just to get the most out of your adventure bike tour Sweden. We pick you up at the airport and take you to our hotel where we’ve arranged dinner for everyone and give more information about the tour.

Airport Pickup

After a substantial breakfast at the hotel we pick up our bikes and clothes. We will then practice a little on local gravel roads to prepare. We will try riding on different surfaces to do some brake and balance exercises, so that we get comfortable on our own test track during the morning. Just before lunch time we are off! We start with some alternate paths, gravel and asphalt, to take the ferry west to a superb fish restaurant where we will have lunch of freshly caught fish. After lunch we take smaller curving roads through the forests, passing small villages where time has stood still the last 50 years. When we arrive at our hotel in Hestra, located right at the river Nissan, we check into newly refurbished rooms. We then go to the shooting range to clay pigeon shooting with a shotgun, a fun activity that anyone can do even if you’ve never held a gun before. We will enjoy a 3 course dinner at the hotel, which is awarded for its good food and lovely environment.

Bolmsö-Hestra 125 km

We leave from Southern Sweden Ski Center. Within a few kilometers we will have tried several different surfaces – asphalt, gravel and even grass. Lovely roads up to Taberg hill, where we have lunch at one of the best views in Småland. After lunch we drive towards Eksjö, routes that will put a big smile on your face. The roads that wind inside the deep spruce and pine forests have limited visibility with blind curves, so you need to concentrate during this run. We arrive at our hotel, situated next to a lake. Dinner is served at the hotel, with a beautiful view of the lake. After dinner, we go swimming in the lake, with maybe a warm up in the sauna first. We round off the evening with some karaoke at the hotel, for those who feel in good voice.

Hestra-Eksjö 215 km

We eat a buffet breakfast and set off on lovely gravel roads. In fact, during the day we ride a lot on rough gravel, which causes tires to slip as it is so loose. Of course, we try to alternate different types of gravel. The ride today is very entertaining and beautiful, the scenery is great as we ride through hilly landscapes with small farms and with farmland mixed with forest. We make a stop at the Katthult farm which was the main scene character Emil by author Astrid Lindgren, in one of her many famous children’s books – perhaps the most famous of her characters is Pippi Longstocking. We continue south and the landscape becomes flatter and the roads become faster. We follow Stångån some distance downstream and then take the bridge over it. We are going to Kosta, the center of the Swedish Kingdom of Crystal. The Kingdom of Crystal has made blown glass since 1742. Today you will be a visitor to some of the best utility glass and art glass in the world and will be able to go right up to the glass furnaces to see it created. In Kosta there is the chance of shopping for both glass and clothes in a 20,000 square meter area. The hotel has a spa and cuisine of international class and won major tourist prizes. We have, as you would hope, access to the spa during our stay, and a 2 course supper.

Day 4 Eksjö-Kosta 240 km

In the morning after a buffet breakfast, we look at how to do glass blowing, a craft that requires great skill and experience – it’s wonderful to see how a piece of glass becomes a work of art. Then we leave Kosta and drive on, down to the Blekinge and Skåne border. Initially we’re on pretty fast gravel roads, then more mixed surfaces with paths and winding roads. In this area there are plenty of small lakes, and roads run between these through forests and farmland. We will make a lunch stop at a restaurant to recover our energy so that we stay alert in the second half of the day. We’re approaching Carl von Linné and IKEA country now, and our hotel is beautifully located on a peninsula. We eat dinner with a beautiful view over the lake at our hotel, where there is also free access to kayaking on the lake.

Kosta-Älmhult 190 km

This is the last day day of your adventure bike tour in Sweden. We leave the hotel happy to run down the border between Småland and Skåne, where we take both faster and slower routes. Some of the faster lanes have been used in the South Swedish Rally and have lovely curves where you just want to continue to turn right, left, right, left.. On the slower roads, it becomes a different rhythm and it requires a little more attention as the surfaces are shifting. Then we have picnic lunch. In the afternoon we drive on entertaining gravel roads through wild Småland and will eventually return to where we started our tour. We check the bikes in before making our way to a farewell dinner at a nice place.

Älmhult-Bolmsö 220 km

After a full breakfast we will drop you off at the airport.
