We really enjoyed this trip…our guides were top notch, the accommodations really nice. Loved being in Antigua for Semana Santa, all the birding was great. So colorful and the people so kind. We loved everything except so sad at the garbage strewn everywhere roadside with the stray dogs …wanted to take all the dogs home! Unfortunately true in many countries, not specifically Guatemala….but otherwise it was just delightful…especially enjoyed the Lake Atitlan area….would go again with Rodrigo and Maynor in a heartbeat!

Each day contained wonders. Rodrigo was always working in the background, making sure everything went smoothly for all of us and that we travelers were safe, happy, and in the right place at the right time to see and experience the remarkable events of Holy Week in Antigua and the colorful and amazing birds of Guatemala. Our local guide, Maynor, added multiple dimensions to all of our experiences with his knowledge of the birds and their habits, history, religion, and Mayan culture and languages. All the restaurants and hotels were carefully chosen for their wonderful service, food, beauty, and locations.

This was a once and a lifetime experience. Jaime is so knowledgeable about the history and explained everything as we went along. Luis drove us everywhere with expert caution and was also very attentive, offering a helping hand as needed. Cual and Maggie were there as guest, however spent the last day with my friend and I hiking through the gardens and to the waterfalls on the property we would have missed. Just a lovely time. Thanks for this opportunity and I hope to possibly book another adventure with you.

Our guide was amazing. Rodrigo, gave us all great instructions & directions, he was organized & flexible with our requests & needs. He was thoughtful of our safety at all times & kept us comfortable & informed. He was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited, about the flora & fauna of the land, about the local towns & people, history & sights to visit. He was thoughtful of us as visitors, thoughtful of the local people & their needs. He was truly dedicated & loves Mexico. I carry with me the wonderful memories of Mexico, the natural world & people there, because of their great guide, gentleman Rodrigo. The lodge we stayed at, Agua Blanca was lovely, comfortable, unique, clean, beautiful gardens & grounds, wonderful food & lovely people. Luis our driver was fantastic & we enjoyed his photos, great driving skills & friendly & helpful attitude.

The entire trip was amazing. Rodrigo was an excellent guide getting us to the Monarch butterflies and some fantastic birds along the way. Has so much fun with a great group of friends. Thank you for an incredible experience! Cindy
