Cotopaxi National Park located at 5,897 meters high, it's the second-highest peak in the Ecuadorian Andes. We will enter the Cotopaxi National Park for a close encounter with the Paramo biodiversity and an ecological explanation of its importance. We will visit the Limpiopungo area from where we will have a very nice view of the volcano (If weather permitting). Then we will drive to Baños. 

Overnight in Cotopaxi area at Hacienda La Cienega

We will have the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views of the Andes, Quilotoa lake, and the colorful landscape of the moors that surround it. Upon arrival, you can descend to the edge of the Crater Lake and return on horseback, or simply take a walk around the rim, and then get to know the lively local communities. In order to get in touch with local communities, a visit to a local indigenous market will be included depending on the weekday (Subject to markets schedules).

Explore some of the highlights of the area including Pailon del Diablo waterfall, Manto de la Novia waterfall where you will have the chance to ride the Cable Car, and optional zip-line activities. Then we continue to the swing of the Tree House and el Vuelo del Condor. 

Overnight in Baños or Riobamba

Chimborazo is the highest peak in Ecuador and the highest peak in the world measured from the center of the earth. We begin with a scenic drive through the Andes, upon arriving at the Chimborazo wildlife refuge, you will be greeted by breathtaking views of the snow-capped peak and the surrounding wilderness (If weather permits). The tour guide will provide a brief history of the park and the mountain before embarking on a trek to the base of Chimborazo. The trek offers a challenging but rewarding experience as you navigate through rugged terrain and high altitudes.

Overnight in Riobamba Hacienda Abraspungo

We continue our tour south direction, on the way we will make a stop at Devil's Nose Mountain for a short hike to enjoy the fascinating views (If the train is operating we can do the train, at the moment it is not operating, unfortunately, subject to road situation). Then we will stop at Ingapirca Ruins, considered Ecuador's most important Inca-Cañari archaeological site. 

Overnight in Cuenca at Hotel Tryp Wyndham

Cuenca is a UNESCO World Heritage site and considered to be the most beautiful city in Ecuador. We will explore the historical district to learn about architecture, history, and culture on a walking tour. Then we will continue to the Homero Ortega panama hat factory-museum and then the Turi view point for a great view of the city surrounded by the Andes mountains.

Discover the beauty of Cajas National Park, begin at the Toreadora Refuge, where you’ll set out on a scenic hike through high-altitude grasslands and páramo ecosystems. Walk past shimmering glacial lakes, marvel at the park’s rare flora, and step into the magical Polylepis forest, one of the highest-altitude woodlands in the world. After soaking in the park’s serene landscapes, continue the journey west, stopping at a local fruit market to sample regional flavors and a family-run cocoa farm to learn how Ecuadorian chocolate is crafted, from bean to cup. The day ends with a direct drop-off at Guayaquil, making it a perfect experience for those continuing their adventure to Galapagos next day or returning home.
