OTAVALO DAILY TOUR

Driving north of Quito is the most famous indigenous market of Ecuador: Otavalo Daily Tour is full of traditions and handcrafts. Before arriving to this magic place, you will visit Calderon, a small town famous for “Mazapan” handicrafts. Following the route is Cayambe, the perfect place to see how people prepare biscuits using a traditional technique. Next stop will be a view point to enjoy the landscape of Imbabura volcano (4610 mts.) and San Pablo lagoon.

Your next and most anxious spot will be Otavalo market, where you will spend time shopping and some quality time with your friends. You will fall in love with all variety of handicrafts.

Then you will go to Cotacachi to have a delicious lunch and explore the leather local work shops for a great landscape ending at Cuicocha´s view point.

I had a great time! The staff were extremely helpful and the food was very tasty, a treat when you've been traveling for several months. The guides, coming from local communities, had incredible knowledge about the fauna and flora. They were tireless and provided us with a variety of programs. This 5 days tour is not worth for the money, my guide was late to pick me up, he put me in a average hotel where air conidtioner and wifi didnt work well and no breakfast. During the tour I requested for vegetarian food which they kept forgeting. to take the tour you will need to take a boat taxi which as a customer you need to pay, plus on my last tour they drop me at agency and started demanding money to take me back to hotel which was included in my tour price. You can do this in less money by coming to island and going to direct tour.
