Breakfast today is on your own as our guides are busy getting everything ready for our adventure. Meet at 8am to start inflating boats, sorting gear, and learning the tricks of the trade before we head down river. Today is mostly flat water paddling, 8-10 miles. 

For the majority of our expedition, we'll cover roughly 10 miles a day- some days slightly more, some days less. Our guides will lead the way and take up the rear, stopping frequently to scout and talk through rapids. Often there is an option to portage but the terrain can be unforgiving. This is a true expedition with technical, incredibly fun whitewater and stunning scenery. Our goal is that you come away empowered in your skills and reconnected to nature, yourself, and your people.

Along the way, you'll have plenty of opportunities for practicing paddling skills with our guides, fly fishing, learning about the natural history of the area, and relaxing in the "Grand Canyon of Oregon."

We'll also embark on a handful of stunning side-missions during our time on the river: from exploring side canyons to visiting historically significant places.

Our last day on the river takes us to the historic Birch Creek Ranch where we'll arrive by lunch so that we can get gear loaded and shuttle everyone back to their cars at Rome, 2 hrs away, or get to Boise. Finish with hugs goodbye and a cold beer or beverage of your choice. 

For those flying in and out of Boise: on the last day we'll get to Boise "in the evening." We recommend booking a hotel and flight for the next day to be safe, or a late flight on day 6.
