Wonderful trip. Knowledgeable guide, great fun with other guests. We saw lots of really amazing birds, monkeys, and elephants!! We even saw gibbons although just a flash. The jungle sounds were a once in a lifetime experience. Great coffee and they were so kind about accommodating my fussy diet. Michelle was extremely helpful and great to work with throughout the process. The goal of earth lodge is important and I was happy to be a small part of it.

When we met Hymair at the Jetty, we knew we had found the right man and when we arrived at the Earthlodge, we knew we had found the right place. Whether during the jungle hikes, the cave exploration or the river cruises without an engine, Hymair taught us a lot of the special nature of this part of the world. We saw macaques, langurs, hornbills and many other birds and also three times elephants. We learned to recognise the sounds of different birds and to distinguish the calls of the gibbons. Hymair and his friendly staff have created an unforgettable experience for us and we can wholeheartedly recommend this stay.

Thank you, Gabriele. We’re delighted that you and Paul not only enjoyed the Elephant Quest (and even spotted elephants!) but also gained a deeper appreciation for the rainforest and the importance of protecting it. Hymier and his team work tirelessly to share their passion, creating an experience that is both memorable and meaningful. Your visit directly supports our ongoing conservation efforts, and we hope you’ll share your experience with friends and family to help spread the message. All the best, Michelle and the entire Malaysian Wildlife team.

This trip was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. It is definitely for nature lovers who want to immerse themselves into the natural environment and habitat of the wildlife. Whilst we were hoping to see Elephants and despite plenty of fresh sign we were unlucky to not see them, but it was a fantastic experience of the jungle and it's inhabitants. Our guide Roman was knowledgable, passionate and willing to share. Our three boatcrew were knowledgable and very gracious, a special thanks to them. Also to the organisation team who were able to make this happen for us with our tight timeframe. Definitely a trip for those that love experiencing nature in it's natural environment.

Hi Raewyn Thank you so much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We’re thrilled to hear that the experience felt truly immersive and that Roman and the boat crew helped make your time in the jungle so memorable. They’ll be delighted to hear your kind words. And yes… the elephants. We always do our best to introduce guests to the wildlife, but those wild elephants seem determined to run their own schedule — and they’re notoriously bad at replying to our invitations. Even so, we’re glad the atmosphere of the jungle still made the experience special. Thank you again for choosing this adventure. It’s wonderful to hear that the magic of the rainforest still shone through, and we’d love to welcome you back anytime — who knows, maybe the elephants will decide to pencil you in next time. Cheers, Michelle

Well organised trip! A wonderful experience in both Sepilok and Kinabatagan - our guide took good care of us and was able to share a lot of wildlife and conservation information with us. The local guides and spotters were also very sharp in identifying the wildlife! Accommodation was good and itinery was comfortably scheduled.

Hi Yun Lin, What wonderful feedback! We're thrilled to hear you and your sister had such a fantastic experience in Sepilok and Kinabatangan. I knew you would! Thanks for the feedback on our guides. We might be a bit biased, but we think they are some of the best! It's great knowing they made the trip memorable with their knowledge. We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon!
