Panama is the kind of place that makes you want to stay a little longer.
Where colorful colonial streets lead to lively plazas, salsa spills out of open doors, and the skyline of a modern city rises behind centuries-old architecture. Where you can spend the morning watching ships make their way through the Panama Canal, the afternoon chasing a waterfall through the rainforest, and the next day floating in impossibly turquoise Caribbean water.
On this adventure, we'll experience Panama from every angle. We'll wander the cobblestone streets of Casco Viejo, eat our way through Panamanian cuisine, dance to live music, hike through lush rainforest, and venture into the spectacular San Blas Islands to experience the beauty and culture of Guna Yala.
And because where we spend our money matters, we'll seek out women-owned, locally owned, and community-based businesses whenever we can—connecting with the women, makers, guides, chefs, and entrepreneurs who make Panama what it is.
This isn't just a trip to Panama. It's a chance to taste it, dance it, hike it, swim in it, and experience it together.
Come curious. Come hungry. Bring your dancing shoes.

Welcome to Panama! We'll settle into the colorful streets of Casco Viejo, our home for the week, where historic architecture, hidden courtyards, buzzing plazas, and rooftop bars create the perfect introduction to the city. After getting settled, we'll gather for our first Three Horizons welcome dinner—good food, cold drinks, and the beginning of a week of adventure. As the sun sets over the city, we'll raise a glass to Panama and to the women we're about to explore it with.
Highlights:
Casco Viejo • Welcome Dinner • Rooftop Views
Today, we'll get to know Panama through one of the best ways possible: food! We'll wander the streets of Casco Viejo with local guides, sampling the flavors and stories that have shaped Panama—from its Indigenous roots to its Afro-Caribbean influences and Spanish heritage.
We'll seek out local makers and women-owned businesses along the way, with plenty of time to shop, sip coffee, and wander on our own.
After some downtime back at the hotel, we'll get dressed up for a night of Panamanian food, live music, and dancing. We'll learn a few salsa steps and then put them to the test when the music starts. No dance experience required—just a willingness to have fun!
Highlights:
Casco Viejo • Panamanian Food • Local Makers • Salsa & Live Music
Today we'll see one of Panama's greatest engineering marvels and one of its greatest natural treasures. We'll visit the Panama Canal and watch massive ships make their way through the famous locks before heading toward the lush Canal Zone. From there, we'll trade concrete for canopy as we venture into the rainforest around Gamboa. With a local guide leading the way, we'll keep our eyes open for monkeys, sloths, tropical birds, and other wildlife. It's a day that perfectly captures Panama: ingenious, wild, and completely unexpected.
Highlights:
Panama Canal • Gamboa • Rainforest • Wildlife
An early start brings one of the most unforgettable days of the trip. We'll make our way to Guna Yala, home to the legendary San Blas Islands, where tiny palm-fringed islands rise from crystal-clear Caribbean water. We'll spend the day island hopping, snorkeling, swimming, relaxing on white-sand beaches, and enjoying a fresh island lunch. But this day is about more than beautiful beaches. We'll learn about the Guna people and their culture, meet local community members, and have the opportunity to see the incredible mola textiles created by Guna women. It's a long day—and an early one—but we're pretty sure you'll agree that paradise was worth getting up for.
Highlights:
San Blas Islands • Guna Yala • Turquoise Water • Snorkeling
After yesterday's island adventure, we'll slow things down a little—but not too much. We'll head into Soberanía National Park for a rainforest hike to El Charco, where a beautiful waterfall and natural swimming hole await. We'll cool off in the jungle before heading back toward the city for a relaxed afternoon.
Take a nap, book a massage, grab a cocktail, shop for something you absolutely don't need but definitely want, or simply enjoy some time with your new travel friends. Tonight is yours.
Highlights:
Soberanía National Park • Rainforest Hike • Waterfall • Free Afternoon
Our final full day is about experiencing Panama at our own pace. We'll start with a leisurely morning and a locally focused experience before giving you time to explore the city on your own. Maybe you'll find the perfect souvenir, settle into a café, or discover your new favorite rooftop.
Then we'll come together one last time for a celebratory farewell dinner. And because we can't leave Panama without one more night of music, we'll head out into Casco Viejo for live Latin music, dancing, and a final night of letting loose together.
Highlights:
Local Experiences • Free Time • Farewell Dinner • Dancing
All good things must come to an end. We'll enjoy one final relaxed morning in Casco Viejo, with time for breakfast, coffee, last-minute shopping, and one last stroll through the streets we've called home this week. Then we'll say our goodbyes and head to the airport—hopefully already talking about where we're going together next.

One Last Café • One Last Stroll • Until Next Time
