Join Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures for an unforgettable journey to Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biodiverse marine ecosystems on the planet. Once a secluded penal colony, Coiba's protected waters are now home to thriving reefs, abundant marine life, and some of the best diving in the Pacific.
We'll be diving with Scuba Coiba, Santa Catalina's original dive operator since 2003. Their experienced crew will select from more than 40 incredible dive sites based on weather, currents, diver experience, and group preferences—ensuring the best possible diving every day. Sharks are guaranteed! Our trip begins just after the full moon during the dry season, the ideal time for exceptional visibility, calm seas, and decreasing currents.
Our private, eco-friendly resort, Catalina's Hideaway, is the perfect retreat for both divers and non-divers. In addition to world-class diving, you'll enjoy complimentary daily yoga, other options include sunrise horseback rides on the beach, surfing lessons, relaxing massages, beach volleyball, board games, bonfires, stargazing, community nights with music and games, and complimentary shuttle service to local attractions and town.
Whether you're searching for thrilling underwater encounters or a peaceful tropical escape, this adventure offers the perfect combination of exploration, relaxation, and unforgettable memories—all in one of the world's most spectacular marine destinations.
Arrive at Panama City (PTY) no later than 3:00 PM. After gathering our group, we will board a private shuttle for the scenic journey to Santa Catalina and Catalina's Hideaway. Along the way, enjoy a freshly prepared meal and get to know your fellow travelers as we make our way to Panama's Pacific coast.
Settle into your accommodations and enjoy a relaxing day at Catalina's Hideaway. Explore the beach, lounge by the pool, participate in yoga, or discover the charm of Santa Catalina. Divers will meet with the Scuba Coiba team for orientation and trip briefings.
Divers depart at 7:15 AM for a full day of three-tank diving in Coiba National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its incredible biodiversity and shark encounters. Non-divers can enjoy the resort amenities or participate in optional local activities.
Another exciting day of three-tank diving awaits as we explore additional dive sites within Coiba National Park. Expect spectacular reefs, abundant marine life, and unforgettable underwater adventures.
Continue your underwater exploration with three more dives in one of the world's premier marine parks. Every day offers new opportunities to encounter large schools of fish, rays, sea turtles, and a variety of shark species.
Our final day of diving includes three more dives selected by the experienced Scuba Coiba crew based on conditions and marine life activity, providing the perfect finale to an incredible diving adventure.
Enjoy a leisurely morning at Catalina's Hideaway. Relax by the pool, take a walk on the beach, or enjoy the resort's amenities before boarding our private shuttle back to Panama City. Upon arrival, check into our hotel and enjoy a short city tour with free time to explore Panama City's vibrant culture, dining, and waterfront attractions.
Transfer to Tocumen International Airport (PTY) for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of Panama, Coiba National Park, and an amazing week of adventure with Dive Buddy Scuba Adventures.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unforeseen circumstances, including trip cancellation, delays, or emergencies. Here is a link for travel Insurance.
A Diver's Alert Network (DAN) Membership is essential for divers, especially when traveling outside the United States, because it provides access to emergency medical and evacuation services tailored to diving accidents. Many international destinations lack specialized medical facilities for dive-related injuries, and DAN ensures that divers receive the care they need, including hyperbaric treatment and transportation. Additionally, DAN’s global network offers peace of mind, knowing expert assistance is just a call away, no matter how remote the location.
