Eight days chasing the Pantanal's most iconic mammals. Five full days of boat safaris from Porto Jofre, where jaguar sightings are close to a daily occurrence, followed by a shift into the transition zone for maned wolf, giant anteater, and tapir.

Day 1

Day 1 image

Cuiabá to Porto Jofre

Arrive in Cuiabá and transfer to Porto Jofre via the Transpantaneira. Afternoon boat outing on the rivers for our first look at jaguars and river wildlife.

Day 2-5

Day 2-5 image

Jaguar Safari

Full days of boat safaris along the Cuiabá and Piquiri rivers, tracking jaguar movement and photographing giant otters, caimans, and birdlife along the way.

Day 6

Day 6 image

Maned Wolf & Ocelot

Final day of river safaris, with an evening session focused on ocelot and maned wolf sightings around Porto Jofre.

Day 7

Day 7 image

Transfer to the Transition Zone

Maned Wolf morning session followed by Giant Anteater & Tapir afternoon. Travel to a private ranch in the Pantanal's transition zone.

Day 8

Day 8 image

Giant Anteater & Tapir, Departure via Cuiabá

Final morning session at the ranch searching for anteater and tapir, then transfer back to Cuiabá for departure.

Costa Rican Photographer, Diver, Explorer, and graduate in Industrial Design Engineering with an emphasis in Digital Design.
