A fun adventure awaits with a guided Walk on the Perito Moreno Glacier, where you'll walk on the surface of this giant, awe-inspiring glacier. Marvel at the fascinating landscape, including streams, small lagoons, gullies, crevasses, and ice formations in incredible shades of blue. 

Helmets and crampons will be provided before the walk, for your safety.

Alternative Option for the Day:

For those who prefer a more relaxed experience, you can opt for the Patagonia Spirit Tour, which includes a peaceful boat ride and easy walks. Sail into the untouched corners of Los Glaciares National Park, blending serene boat rides with short forest walks and panoramic glacier views. Stroll through ancient Lenga woods, discover waterfalls, and stand face-to-face with the majestic Cerro Negro and Perito Moreno glaciers.

Return to El Calafate around 6 PM. Enjoy some free time to explore the town’s quaint souvenir shops and asado (grilled meat) at the cozy restaurants at your leisure.

Scenic Drive to El Chaltén: Depart early for the scenic Route 40 drive toward the alpine village of El Chaltén, Argentina’s premier hiking destination within Los Glaciares National Park. Along the way, take in stunning views of the Andean mountains.

Drive Time: ~3 hours

Upon arrival in El Chaltén, check in at your cozy alpine-style hotel.

Hiking the Lago Torre Trail: After settling in, embark on your first hike. This moderate trail offers spectacular views of the Cerro Torre, one of Patagonia's most dramatic peaks.

Hike Duration: 12.5 miles, 8-9 hours (out and back)

Difficulty: Moderate

Elevation Gain: 2,000 ft

Evening: Return to the hotel around 6 PM, where the rest of the evening is free to explore the charming little village of El Chaltén at your leisure.

Full-Day Guided Hike: After breakfast, get ready for a full-day adventure with a guided hike to Laguna de los Tres, one of the most iconic treks in Patagonia. The trail offers breathtaking views of the Fitz Roy peaks and the pristine, turquoise waters of the lake. Laguna de los Tres is a picture-perfect spot, attracting hikers and nature lovers from all over the world!

Distance: 13.5 miles (out & back)

Return to Hotel: After an exhilarating day on the trails, return to your hotel in El Chaltén to unwind and relax.

Drive to El Calafate Airport: Transfer to El Calafate Airport for your flight to Ushuaia, the southernmost city in the world. The scenic drive takes around 2.5-3 hours, giving you one last chance to admire the Patagonian landscape.

Flight to Ushuaia: Take a flight to Ushuaia, the gateway to Tierra del Fuego, and enjoy the breathtaking approach to this remote destination.

Arrival in Ushuaia: Upon arrival, meet your driver at the airport for a transfer to your next charming hotel.

About Ushuaia: Ushuaia, often referred to as the "End of the World," is known for its dramatic landscape, nestled between the Andes mountains and the Beagle Channel. It’s a base for exploring Tierra del Fuego National Park a hub for boat trips to see glaciers, penguins, and seals, and a gateway to Antarctica.

The evening is free to explore the town of Ushuaia at your own pace. Wander through the town’s picturesque streets, and enjoy a cozy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Overnight: Stay in Ushuaia.

Walk with Penguins: Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to walk alongside Magellanic and Gentoo penguins. Watch these charismatic creatures waddle and interact up close, creating lasting memories of their quirky and curious behavior.

After your penguin encounter, drive to a Historic Ranch, where you’ll board a zodiac boat to Penguin Island on the legendary Beagle Channel. Disembark and enjoy an unforgettable walk with the penguins (approximately 1 hour).

Return to Ushuaia and stay at your hotel.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel, leaving your luggage stored at the hotel’s storage room for the day.

Explore Tierra del Fuego National Park: Today, we’ll explore the Tierra del Fuego National Park, located in the sub-Antarctic forest along the shores of the Beagle Channel. Enjoy a picturesque 4-mile hike through this stunning landscape, filled with vibrant forests and coastal views. The adventure continues with an exciting paddle down the river in inflatable rafts, navigating the waters that lead into the Beagle Channel.

Return to Ushuaia: In the late afternoon, drive back to Ushuaia, arriving at the hotel around 4:30 PM. Pick up your luggage from the hotel, and then proceed to the airport for your flight to Buenos Aires.

Flight to Buenos Aires: Take a flight to Buenos Aires in the evening, and upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Optional Tour Extension: The following day, you have the option to either return home or extend your journey with a visit to the magnificent Iguazu Falls.

Take a morning flight to Iguazu (approximately 2 hours).

Arrival & Transfer to Iguazu National Park: Upon arrival, meet your local guide at the airport, and proceed directly to the Iguazu National Park on the Argentine side.

After the excitement of the boat ride, spend the rest of the day exploring the lush surroundings of the falls. Stroll through the stunning jungle trails on foot, and take a ride aboard the ecological train to reach different viewpoints, where you can fully immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring beauty of the waterfalls.

After having a well-deserved sleep and a delicious breakfast, check out from your hotel and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Buenos Aires.

Arrive in Buenos Aires in the afternoon.

Depending on your flight schedule, connect to your international flight back home in the late afternoon or evening.
