Join us on a 9-day / 8-night retreat into the cultural traditions and archaeological wonders of the Sacred Valley.
Come experience one of the 7 Wonders of the World, as well as lesser known gems of the Sacred Valley on a retreat that balances heartfelt connection with plenty of alone time to soak up your surroundings.
At a retreat center tucked into the heart of the Sacred Valley, we’ll greet the morning with enlivening yoga amidst the Andes Mountains, savor authentic flavors of Peru’s gastronomy, and enjoy peaceful hiking just outside our retreat.
Our days will offer a blend of cultural excursions and free time to explore or relax. We’ll enjoy a traditional Peruvian lunch at our guide’s farm, learn about vibrant weaving traditions, and visit the Pisac ruins where you’ll also have the option to hike a quiet section of the original Inca Trail.
Toward the end of the week, we’ll travel by train to the town closest to Machu Picchu where we’ll spend the night so that we can awaken before sunrise to watch the fog unveil Machu Picchu.
Along the way, we’ll be supporting education and food programs for Peruvian children, as both the retreat center and our guides work closely with their communities.

The world is full of amazing, life-changing experiences and many introverts and highly sensitive people (HSPs) love adventure.
Yet, not everyone wants to travel alone and most group travel can come with challenges. You may worry about sensory overload, too much social interaction, or feeling pressured by others.
This is why we offer a better way that helps take the anxiety out of travel–an opportunity to connect with others while honoring your needs for personal time and space.
What we mean by HSP and Introvert:
We aim to organize our retreats around the strengths and needs of those who identify with at least one of the traits of sensitivity or introversion, which share similarities, but are not the same.
Introversion is often confused with shyness. While introverts can be shy, not all are. Rather, introversion is defined by where you get your energy. Introverts often enjoy connecting with others, but may find social interactions draining and need substantial time alone to recharge.
HSPs have a heightened sensitivity to their environments. HSPs often feel emotions intensely, are deeply affected by sensory input, and notice subtleties others may miss. In most group travel, it’s not uncommon for HSPs to experience sensory overload from stimuli such as crowds, noise, constant talking, or tight schedules.
It’s estimated that roughly 70 percent of HSPs are introverted and 30 percent are extroverted. However, even an extroverted HSP may feel like an introvert when overstimulated and may need time in a quiet space to regulate.
We find that introverts and HSPs can enjoy people, places, and cultures just as they are—as long as we have intentional structures and agreements in place. When we do, there’s a magic that also allows the innate strengths of introversion and sensitivity to flourish.
How our understanding of HSPs and Introverts and our values guide our retreats:
More alone time. We structure our schedules so that you have substantial downtime to rest or explore on your own.
Reduced sensory overload. We aim to include off-the-beaten-path activities with few crowds. If a trip involves a popular excursion with crowds (i.e. Machu Picchu), we plan free time around it and may ask the group to observe quiet time during shared transfers.
Participation in your way. Group activities are optional. You’re encouraged to tend to your needs. We honor listening as a form of participation, not just verbal sharing.
Self-guided activities. If you want to take a solo excursion in your free time, we’ll help you make arrangements as we can.
Genuine interaction. When introverts and HSPs gather, there’s a sense of ease and belonging that lends itself to being real and building meaningful connection. We also facilitate group reflection time to debrief activities and discuss topics related to our traits.
Authentic experiences. We work with local partners that can offer a personal connection to the natural beauty and culture of the locations we visit.
Be yourself. We value each person’s individual needs and boundaries and strive to create an environment free to social pressures.
Peru no longer requires proof of vaccination or a COVID-19 test for entry. The U.S. no longer requires a negative test for re-entry. Check the requirements of your home country.
As pandemic conditions have changed, we have loosened our protocol and will follow the policies put forth by the government of Peru and our local partners, which may change by the time this trip takes place. By joining this retreat, you understand that we may implement added precautions, including but not limited to: proof of vaccination, a negative COVID-19 test, and use of masks. We will review our policy again closer to the travel dates.
As risks associated with COVID-19 have decreased drastically for people who are fully vaccinated, and are generally no more severe than a cold/flu now, we ask that guests abide by the following:
