Join us for a stress-free travel experience! Our trip leaders will be with you every step of the way, from meeting you at the airport on arrival day to ensuring a safe transfer on departure day, and everything in between. We’ve got you covered!

Mabuhay and Welcome to the Philippines! Join us as we explore places from the three major islands of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. You will learn about the Philippine education system, and immerse yourself in the warm, friendly culture of this beautiful island nation and its people as you visit several schools in different settings: urban public schools, urban private schools, rural public schools, rural private schools. Meet and connect with local teachers and students and take home a lifetime of memories! Note** Itinerary Subject to Change** 


Professional Development: You will have the opportunity to visit schools and meet local educators. Please note, when we offer school visits, we are not guaranteeing you will be in your exact grade level.  Learning about a new culture and making connections with educators provides an authentic learning experience for you to reflect on and bring back to your classroom.

You will be given a professional development certificate for 20 hours of professional development.

Arrival

Welcome to the Philippines! A trip leader greet you at the airport and bring you to your hotel. 


Arrival in Manila: Settle into your hotel near Makati, a central business district known for its upscale shopping malls, restaurants, and vibrant nightlife.


Welcome Orientation: Introduction to the trip's goals, expectations, and a brief overview of Filipino culture and history. Makati is a great place to start as it embodies the modern and traditional aspects of Manila.


Free Evening: Relax and explore the nearby area, perhaps take a stroll through the bustling streets of Makati and get a taste of the local lifestyle.

Day 2 - July 2

School Visit & the Ayala Museum

Day 2!

Today you will visit your first school as a group. 

Colegio San Agustin: Campus tour, meeting with teachers and students. Colegio San Agustin is known for its diverse student population and offers a rich educational experience.

Educator Takeaways: Understanding of the Filipino education system and cultural differences.


Next you will visit the famous AYALA MUSEUM: Ayala Museum is a modern museum showcasing a huge range of displays about the people of the Philippines, tracing their journey from ancient history to the present day. 

Educator Takeaways: The extensive ethnological and archaeological displays relate to Filipino culture, history, art, and heritage.


Free Evening: Explore Ayala Malls (Greenbelt, Glorietta, SM, Landmark). These malls are not only shopping havens but also cultural hubs with art installations and events.

Visit Antipolo for scenic views and local attractions. Antipolo is known for its beautiful overlooks and the Antipolo Cathedral.

School Visit & Sightseeing

Today's focus is on higher education and understanding the political landscape of the Philippines. You'll visit one of the top universities and get a tour of the Presidential Palace.


Group Activities:

School Visit - Philippine Normal University: Campus tour, meeting with teachers and students. PNU is the country's National Center for Teacher Education.

Educator Takeaways: Gaining insights into teacher training and higher education in the Philippines. Understanding the role of PNU in shaping future educators.


Presidential Palace Tour: Explore the official residence of the President of the Philippines, also known as Malacañang Palace. The tour includes visits to the Malacañang Museum and the Ceremonial Hall.

Optional Activities:

Intramuros Tour Options: Segway tour plus 4 attractions pass OR a Intramuros Bike Tour. Intramuros is the historic walled city of Manila, offering a glimpse into the Spanish colonial era.

Journey to Bataan & School Visit

Today, venture out of the city to explore rural education and historical sites in Bataan. This road trip will provide a contrast between urban and rural life in the Philippines.


Group Activities:

School Visit (Rural Public School): Meet with the Superintendent at 1:00 PM. Experience the contrast between urban and rural education in the Philippines.

Educator Takeaway: Understanding the challenges and opportunities in rural education. Comparing and contrasting rural and urban educational settings.


WWII Museum: Learn about the history and impact of World War II in the Philippines. The museum includes exhibits on the Bataan Death March and the role of Filipino and American soldiers during the war.

Manila City Tour

Head back to Manila for a day of exploration and relaxation. This day is flexible with options to explore local attractions or take an optional trip to Tagaytay.


Group Included Day Tour: Explore nearby attractions with lunch provided. This might include visits to historical sites, local markets, and natural attractions.

Optional Trip to Tagaytay : Visit Taal Volcano, known for its picturesque crater lake and stunning views. Tagaytay is a popular weekend destination for its cool climate and scenic landscapes.

 Today is a free day to explore Manila at your own pace. Take this opportunity to visit some of the city's vibrant neighborhoods and markets.

    • Chinatown/Binondo: Experience the vibrant culture and cuisine of the oldest Chinatown in the world.

    • Tutuban Night Market: Shop for unique souvenirs and local goods in this bustling market.

    • Bay Walk/Mall of Asia: Enjoy the seaside view and modern shopping experience. The Mall of Asia is one of the largest malls in Asia.

    • Bonifacio Global City: Visit the Sunday Night food market for a variety of delicious street food.

Today, we will travel together to the island of Bohol for a change of pace. Enjoy the serene environment and unique attractions this island has to offer. Appreciating the natural beauty and ecological significance of the area. Discussing the role of eco-tourism in promoting environmental conservation.


Free Afternoon/Evening: Explore the resort and nearby attractions.


Optional Activities:  Available at the resort, such as paddleboarding, bird watching, and local village tours.

Enjoy a full day to explore the wonders of Bohol. Choose from a variety of tours that showcase the island's natural beauty and cultural heritage.


Optional Activities:

  • All-in Tour (including whale shark for a group of 4 or more). This tour may include visits to popular tourist spots like Chocolate Hills and Tarsier Conservation Area.

  • Countryside Day Tour All-In Package (for groups of 4-5). This tour typically includes a visit to the Baclayon Church, the Blood Compact Shrine, and the Loboc River Cruise.

Today we will take a group flight to Boracay!

Free Day: Continue to enjoy the beautiful beaches and activities available, such as snorkeling, scuba diving, and parasailing. Boracay's diverse marine life and coral reefs make it a prime spot for underwater exploration.
