      About this trip

      Day 1:  Starts at 5:00pm

Day 6:  Workshop ends - travel day only.

Lisa Langell's Photo Artistry workshops are truly about nature photography as an art form, both in-camera and in post-processing.  If you're interested exploring beyond the boundaries of traditional "magazine, contest and calendar photography," then this workshop is for you!

Prioritizing the creative over traditional approach, she will teach the following as weather, nature, and lighting conditions dictate:

      • Capture birds-in-flight using a slow-shutter panning technique

      • Reconceptualize the use of light, shade, composition, form and exposure

      • Intentional camera movement/motion (ICM) for creating ethereal images

      • High key styled photography

      • Silhouette photography

      • Technique's for photographing abstract images as a stunning art form

      • Post-processing techniques to incorporate additional artistry, including using textures, manipulating color, and more

      • Traditional nature and wildlife photography techniques as time and opportunities allow

This workshop will help you discover a  new style!  You'll create images that are ideally suited for artistic collections and wall art.  With hands-on demonstrations, classroom and field-based learning, and expert guidance from your instructors, you'll have the opportunity to enhance your photography skills and create beautiful, one-of-a-kind images.

Don't miss out on this chance to nurture your artistry and expand your conceptualization around nature photography as an art form.

      1. Should I get travel insurance?  Yes. Travel insurance helps protect your investment should something arise (e.g., change of plans, health issues, etc.) that requires you to cancel your reservation or end your tour early.

Your initial deposit is non-refundable.  No exceptions or credits provided. Payments due are scheduled approximately as follows, based on the start date of your event.  Once paid, they become non-refundable:

      Deposit:  Due at registration (nonrefundable)

      2nd Installment:  Due July 1, 2024

      3rd Installment:  Due October 1, 2024

What if I need to cancel?   You have several options:

Option 3:  You may transfer your seat to a qualified* friend for a fee ($250).  The friend is responsible for any remaining balance.

Option 4:  You may request that we attempt to resell your seat for up to full price wherever possible.  To do so, there is a fee of $350.  We cannot guarantee it will be resold, but we will market it to our waitlist for this tour if there is reasonable time before the start date to do so.    *Qualified friend is someone who meets the criteria for the tour, has agreed to all terms & conditions, and agrees to pay for any balance due and/or future costs that arise.

What if I pay in full up front?  If you choose to pay for the entire event up front in one lump sum, should you need to cancel, your refund will be pro-rated according to the due dates for each installment, compared to your cancelation date.    (For example, if you canceled after the 2nd  installment was due—but prior to the final installment due date, the amount equal to the portion calculated for the final installment will be refunded to you.)

May I receive a credit toward a future event?  No refunds, credit, certificates, etc. will be issued for cancelations as a large percentage of your payments are directed toward non-refundable fees we pay to secure your excursions, lodging, meals, transportation, staffing and more.

The experience is like none other when it comes to learning! And learning about how to capture the beloved creatures whose wings are impossible to glimpse with the human eye much less a camera. Lisa and Kim share their secrets. I am so happy i was able to join this amazing group of photographers and professionals at Santa Rita Lodge. Thank you Lisa and Kim.

If there were 10 stars to rate, Lisa and Kim would get them! The Santa Rita Lodge was very pleasant environment to spend multiple days photographing hummingbirds. Lisa and Kim's instruction and assistance throughout the workshop ensured everyone walked away with impressive images. I really don't know how they kept up with the early hours and continuously being on their feet circulating through the participants to ensure that everything was working properly and answer questions. The time spent with post-production instruction/suggestions was priceless as well. I really cannot say enough nice things about Lisa and Kim and their attention to detail with this workshop - from the lighting, the backgrounds, flowers, high and low key instructions, post-production assistance, and more! There's a reason this workshop sells out in just a few minutes each time it is offered. If you have the chance, this is one workshop you shouldn't miss!
