About this trip

In pilgrim fellowship within an intimate  circle of fellow companions, join us for a soulful two day (three nights) mini retreat on the Camino de Santiago in a beautiful space dedicated to receiving pilgrims and a centre for creativity and contemplation, inspired by themes of pilgrimage and journey.

We offer a moment of pause and reflection to contemplate the labyrinth, symbols of transformation and journey deep into the rhythms of sacred art of the Camino. Experience presentation and practical classes in sacred geometry and directed sacred art as a meditation practice. You will create a beautiful rose window "mandala" design and paint it using natural pigments from camino earths and precious stones mixed with gum arabic - a natural tree resin.  We offer nourishing meals under the pergola and a time for sharing under the fruit trees, by the fire under the Milky Way.

This retreat is open to pilgrims of the foot and spirit. You  do  not  need  any  prior  experience  or  skills,  only  to  be curious!  We  welcome  people  from  all  walks  of  life,  all  faiths  or  none. Flores del Camino is situated in the historic village of Castrillo de los Polvazares considered one of the most beautiful villages in all of Spain.

A charming retreat centre situated along the Camino de Santiago in the medieval village of Castrillo de los Polvazares, considered one the most beautiful villages in Spain. Throughout the year we collaborate with retreat facilitators, craftsmen & writers weaving together complementary & inspiring offerings.

This was one of the most amazing retreats I have been to in quite some time. Alexander is a masterful teacher and the experience he created was one that was deep and meaningful. The accommodations at Flores del Camino are impeccable and the hosts, Basia and Bertran, are so loving and kind. I would highly recommend this retreat experience to anyone trying to get in touch with the mystical and ancient rites of Easter.

The Easter Retreat offered at Flores Del Camino was a breath of fresh air. The fellowship was engaging and we made new friends. The food was delicious, and the buildings and courtyard were well cared for and maintained.

This unique, week-long experience will yield rewards for me for a long time. The people we shared time and space with were a key to allowing the material presented by Alexander John Shaia to penetrate: becoming real in our lives together. The location is indescribable and also unique. Bertrand and Basia have created and maintain a peaceful and beautiful space, meals, and warm human values at Flores del Camino. I feel sure that the people who participated in this retreat will remain friends for years to come and share the fruit of the lessons learned with one another as well as other family and friends. I cannot recommend this Easter Retreat strongly enough, it fed my heart, mind and gut. Thank you to all who were a part of making this event happen. Priceless!

The retreat was a full-body, full-spirit experience that both challenged and held safe. The accommodations were clean and comfortable while the common areas were inviting and imbued with deep symbolism. The food teased and pleased the palate. The hosts were kind, extremely helpful, and caring. Yes, stay if you can - you will find that it meets needs you didn't know you had.
