Event Highlights

A celebration of Portuguese home cooking, this workshop introduces you to soulful, everyday dishes that reflect the heart of local cuisine.

We’ll prepare a comforting caldo verde-style soup, classic pastéis de bacalhau (with a vegetarian alternative), fragrant tomato rice, vibrant chickpea salads, and seasonal vegetables simply dressed with garlic and olive oil. The session ends with a much-loved Portuguese orange cake, perfect for slicing and sharing.

This is honest, approachable food — ideal for travellers who want to cook confidently and eat well wherever they are.

Why our workshop?

We believe in offering a fun experience, where every participant not only learns but savours and appreciates the rich tapestry of the Mediterranean diet inspired by Middle Eastern chefs such as Ottolenghi and Sami Tamimi. Whether you're a culinary enthusiast or just looking to try something new, this workshop promises a blend of fun, flavour, and festivity.

How to get there

For those arriving by train, disembark at Messines-Alte train station and choose a quick 5-minute taxi ride to reach the villa.


If you're flying into Faro airport, you have two options: either take the train to Messines-Alte and select a 5-minute taxi ride to the villa or opt for a 45-minute airport taxi transfer directly to the villa.
