Absolutely incredible trip. The staff is amazing, they take care of everything and go above and beyond so you just focus on being in nature and making the most of your trip. The food, guide, porters - everything was exceptional.

We really enjoyed the trip. The food was very good. We did have to repeatedly ask the team to prioritise water for us first thing on arriving in camp. Our guide was very nice but he let us down on the last morning by arriving very late to our hotel jeapordising our scheduled tour of Manchu pichu.

Great experience! Beautiful. Admire the hard work of our guide Christiano Flores ands all the porters. The food was awesome. Only complaint was that it was cold at night… sleeping bags were inadequate and thereby part of the reason of lack of sleep. Other reason was friends snoring!!! Thanks so much!

My wife and I have hiked allot and have experienced mountains up-close in every capacity. But nothing really could have prepared us for this trek. If you want to hike and experience the real Peru without the congested trails and other hikers this is it. We went almost three days without seeing another hiker and got to experience very isolated communities in the Andes that we did not expect to see. The mountains were tough especially at 15k feet but well worth the effort of the climb. The serenity, the food, the guide, everything was exceptional and we were well taken care of. This was without a doubt a memory making trip. —Christian and Susan

Christiana and his crew were remarkably well organized and efficient. The trail, while challenging, was scenic and we benefitted from Christiano’s good humoured encouragement and many years of trekking experience. The food that Albert produced was delicious and plentiful.

Our experience on the Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu with Lino as our guide was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we met him, it was clear that we were in the hands of someone truly passionate about the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area. Lino’s deep knowledge of Incan history brought every site to life, making the journey not just a hike, but a rich cultural experience. He was incredibly patient and attentive to everyone’s needs, making sure we were comfortable and well-prepared at every stage of the trek. Lino’s enthusiasm was infectious—he shared fascinating stories and insights that added so much to the adventure, and his love for the Andes and its heritage truly shone through. Whether it was pointing out hidden ruins or explaining the significance of the flora and fauna along the way, Lino made the trail feel magical. When we finally reached Machu Picchu, Lino guided us with the same care and expertise, ensuring we didn’t miss a single detail in the awe-inspiring ancient city. His passion, combined with his professionalism, turned a dream trip into an unforgettable experience. If you’re lucky enough to have Lino as your guide, rest assured that you’re in for a fantastic journey. Highly recommend!

A tale of two trips. Last week our family flew from Denver to Cusco, Peru an 11 hour journey to the southern hemisphere. Our adventure started in Cusco for one night where we met with our lead guide (Edgard) with Action Peru Treks. On 4/3/2024 we headed to the trailhead of the Inca Trail (heading to Machu Picchu). A few hours into our 4-day (26 mile) trek our oldest daughter began to struggle. At this point Edgard, my husband and I decided this trip was going to go differently than planned. My daughter and I headed back down the trail, while my husband and other daughter decided to go forward. Action Peru Treks (Roxner) helped set my oldest daughter and me up with transportation and lodging for the next 4 days with our final goal of meeting my husband and youngest daughter at Machu Picchu when they arrived. Our hikers completed the hike as planned and have amazing memories and photos from the Inca Trail. My oldest daughter and I explored Ollantaytambo for 2-days, then Aguas Ciliates for a night. We got to experience the culture and the amazing people of Peru. We both spoke more Spanish during that time than we ever had, and for the first time we explored a foreign country without my husband by our side and Roxner was only a phone call away. We all agreed this was an epic adventure and none of us had ever seen mountains quite like the Andes! On day 4 our oldest daughter and I boarded a bus to the ruins, while our hikers arrived on foot. From there we got to experience this amazing, historic 15th century citadel. Roxner helped us make sure our daughter and I had lodging and transportation for the 4-days we were off the hike. He was only a phone call away when I had questions and managed everything for us seamlessly. As for Edgard...there aren't enough words for him. He is incredibly knowledgeable, ensures he and his team are well prepared to accommodate their clients, and was a pleasure to spend 4-days hiking with!
