The President’s Council is offering a variety of optional activities to further enhance your time in Scotland. You previously indicated your interests when registering for the trip and now it is time to finalize your selections and submit payment so all tours can be confirmed on your behalf. We encourage early registration as some tours have maximum guest capacity.
Full payment is required when booking tours, with a booking deadline of March 12, 2024. All tours include entrance fees, tasting, guide, and coach transportation if required. All tours and activities are in 100% cancellation penalty if canceled after May 13, 2024.
Please only select one tour per person on July 8 and July 11.
2:30-4:30 PM The Scotch Whisky Experience // The Gold Tour
Cost: $95 per person inclusive of tour, tastings, guide, and return coach transportation to the hotel
Just a short walk from lunch, this five-star visitor attraction is at the top of Edinburgh's Royal Mile. Learn about Scotland's whisky-producing regions and how the weather affects the flavor of your drink as well as the art of blending. 2:30 PM-4:30 PM Secret Garden Distillery // The Discovery Experience
Cost: $90 per person inclusive of tour, tastings, guide, and roundtrip coach transportation
Tour the Distillery Garden and follow the journey from "Seed to Sip" with a tasting of their four award-winning gins. It is a journey through the history of gin and our Secret Garden. Visit the glasshouse where you discover some of the key botanicals that give their gin its unique delicious flavor. You'll get the chance to see and smell the Elderflower, Lemon Verbena, and Grapes, and learn how these botanicals are used in our distilling process. Explore the Rose Garden and Juniper Forest followed by a tasting. (Maximum 15 guests)
2:30 PM-4:30 PM Palace of Holyroodhouse Tour
Cost: $70 per person inclusive of tour, entrance fee, guide, and roundtrip coach transportation
The Palace of Holyroodhouse is Edinburgh’s Royal Palace, it is His Majesty The King’s official residence in Scotland and is used by The King and members of the Royal Family for State ceremonies and official entertaining. Your visit includes the Historic Apartments of Mary, Queen of Scots, which were the setting for many dramatic episodes in her short and turbulent reign, including the brutal murder of her Italian secretary, David Rizzio, by her husband, Lord Darnley. Her bedchamber has been described as 'the most famous room in Scotland.

Cost: This exclusive activity is included for those who wish to participate, however, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED
The world-renowned Gleneagles Shooting School is your promise of an exciting experience of adrenaline-filled fun activity combining archery, clay target shooting, and air rifle shooting. 2:10–2:20–2:30 PM Kingsbarns Golf Links

Kingsbarns is situated along the rugged coastline of the North Sea, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the sea, sandy beaches, and the Scottish countryside. The course was designed by renowned golf course architects Kyle Phillips and Mark Parsinen. The layout adheres to the traditional links-style design, with strategically placed bunkers, undulating fairways, and challenging greens.
4:00–6:00 PM Kingsbarns Scotch Whisky Tour
Cost: $70 per person inclusive of tour, tastings, guide, and roundtrip coach transportation
This tour is the perfect introduction to Scotch whisky as it includes a visit to the exhibition space, a guided tour of the distillery to learn about their barley-to-bottle approach, meaning that the entire whisky-making process, from malting the barley to bottling the finished product, takes place on-site. In the tasting room enjoy a selection of three drams. (Maximum 15 guests)
4:00–6:00 PM Darnley's Gin Tour
