Day 1: TOKYO (arrival Day) May 4
Upon your arrival into Tokyo, you will make your way from the airport into the bustling heart of Tokyo, Shibuya. The center of young generation, Shibuya is the most energetic district in Tokyo, offering countless restaurants, shops and entertainment. After you check into our arrival hotel, spend a few hours walking around the buzzing neighborhood, witnessing the busiest intersection in the world, Shibuya Crossing, about 3,000 people at most cross the large intersection at the same time, and a half million people a day. There is some great coffee to be found at About Life Coffee Brewers, one of the last Tower Records is nearby and it’s a close walk to Paul Smiths main Tokyo shop.

This afternoon our RAID staff mechanics will meet you to assemble your bicycle and we will host a briefing about the trip before we head into the heart of the city for dinner this evening. If your up for a shot of Japanese whiskey, we will cozy up with our fellow drinkers at one of the big-hearted “Tiny” bars.
Day 8: TRANSFER DAY May 11
This morning, we will assist you with your transfer to another hotel in Kyoto, or if your departing, we will assist with the purchase of the limousine bus service to Osaka International Airport, (KIX). It’s fast, easy and the best way to get to the airport for your safe journey home.

It’s been one of the most epic trips I have done in all the time traveling the world w/ different company , it was absolutely memorable, the places we visited , the safe route we went every day, and making us pushing hard out of our comfort zone . It was well organized without missing a detail from Brad and all the guys , stoping in a remarkable places to have lunch . Can’t thank you enough for such an amazing experience. See you next year and congratulations to the team and Brad that he shows so much passion for RAID and have so much care for what he does day by day,,,, gracias!!!

I will always remember this trip as one of my best cycling experiences. It was immensely enjoyable, brilliantly organised, brilliantly run and a wonderful introduction to Japan. Five stars doesn't do Raid cycling enough justice!

If I could give this trip 6/5 I would. The attending to detail by Brad, Yuki and Yoichi was incredible. The accommodation and food was spectacular and unique in every location, the ride routes were scouted and well off the beaten track. The bikes were immaculately cleaned every night and the support for riders in the road was perfect. Drinks, ride food and everything else super special.

This was the trip of a lifetime, a must for any keen cyclist with an interest in Japan. It was an itinerary that showed off the very best of the Japan Alps and Japanese culture, food and hospitality, expertly created and executed by Brad and his wonderful team. The route planning, accommodation, pre and on tour logistics and on the road support were flawless, allowing us all to concentrate on the stunning roads and scenery.
