Whether you seek relaxation, renewal, or just want to escape from a busy life and take a pause to re-set and prioritise self-care for a few days, our Ayurveda and yoga retreat in Kerala promises a transformative journey.
After the monsoon summer season, October is the perfect time to visit Kerala as it’s dry, not too hot and the tropical gardens are lush and green.
Ayurveda uses natural remedies, treatments with specific massages and oils, dietary practices, and consistent lifestyle routines to prevent and treat illnesses.
Ayurveda does not intend to replace modern medicine but rather provides complementing natural healing tools for better health.
Yoga and meditation are part of the Ayurveda program. Whether you seek relaxation, renewal, or just want to escape from a busy life and take a pause to re-set and prioritise self-care for a few days, this Ayurveda and yoga retreat in Kerala promises a transformative journey.
The COVID-19 pandemic, despite its global and deeply devastating impact on so many people, also offered me a moment of pause. It encouraged reflection and guided me toward a totally different direction -one that allows me to do more of what I truly love while supporting wellness and better health within the community.
Following burnout from a long and demanding career, I made a significant shift in July 2020. After more than 25 years working as a Clinical Scientist Director in the pharmaceutical industry, developing new medicines, I chose to retrain as a yoga teacher. I qualified as a 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) practitioner, certified by Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP, UK) in January 2022, and I am currently completing an advanced 500-hour YTT in remedial yoga.
Yoga has been part of my daily practice for over two decades, and becoming a Hatha yoga instructor and leading retreats has been an aspiration of mine for many years. When I made the decision to step away from corporate life, I was met with the welcome realisation that I could finally follow my passion, spending my days practising, studying, and sharing a tradition that promotes physical health, mind–body harmony, and spiritual well-being. The essence of my scientific background in discovering and developing medicines still flows through my work, the medicine I now share is yoga for cultivating health of the body, mind, and spirit.
Sharing and teaching yoga as a pathway to self-care, self-discovery, and awareness, and witnessing its positive impact on overall health, now lie at the heart of my job description. I have been teaching Hatha and Yin yoga locally for the past four years and have had the privilege of leading five retreats across the UK, Spain, and India over the past three years. As a dedicated practitioner, yoga is where I find a deep and rewarding sense of purpose, guiding others while continually learning and growing myself.
In 2026, I plan to host two retreats: One in Spain, followed by this one in October in Kerala, India. It would be an honour to have you join me for one or both of these experiences.

The retreat program begins with a 1:1 consultation with a fully qualified Ayurvedic doctor to assess your health conditions. You will then be given a daily itinerary of herbal treatments, diet plan and 2 hour massages tailored to your identified ‘doshas’.
In Ayurveda the doshas (Vata, Pitta and Kapha) are energy systems that govern a person’s physical, mental and emotional state. Each person has a unique combination of these doshas which influence their body constitution and health. For example, if you have joint pain, the doctor will prescribe herbal treatments, specific massages and herbal oil treatments together with meal plans as part of your daily program at the Retreat.
The Ayurveda doctor will see you daily to check and review your health and any changes since the previous day's treatments.
