About your trip

The world and our experience in it often has a way of dimming our inner light, our energy, our fire. Retreat with us to the magical, grounding energy of Lake Atitlan in Guatemala. Restore as you explore the land that the Mayans credit with being the beginning of the world. And along the shores of the lake “where the rainbow gets its colors” you can Reignite your light, your energy and your fire. Join us for a week to Retreat. Restore. ReIgnite.

Traveling to Guatemala

We have gone to great lengths to ensure that your travel to this beautiful country is seamless and safe. Regardless, we are traveling to a remote location in Central America and there are a couple of things to be aware of prior to booking.

- You will encounter critters that have inhabited this area longer than you have. You may see spiders or scorpions. Do not be alarmed, they typically will leave you alone if you leave them alone. However we have found the staff at Isla Verde very helpful when trying to remove any of these unwanted guests if help is requested.

- Instruction will be given regarding the use of water once you arrive. Filtered water will be provided and we do not recommend that you consume or use tap water in any way other than to shower. We also recommend participants take a probiotic for approximately one month prior to the trip.

- Travel advisories vary for this country. Please be advised we have taken multiple steps to ensure safe travels throughout this country such as arranging all transportation to and from the airport, guides when indicated and chosen locations known to be safe to stay for international travelers.

- Lastly, please be aware the beautiful cabins are built into the hillside. There are multiple steps from the main gathering areas up to these cabins. Please keep your physical condition in mind when booking these accommodations. Personally we feel the cabin views are worth double the steps but that is just us.

About your organizer

Here’s the thing: it’s great to go on vacation… You feel rested and renewed while away, but you return back to life with the same habits. The same thought process. The same life stressors and problems. The same way of dealing with things. But at a retreat you dig in. You uncover and return home with new thought patterns and tools to deal with those stressors and problems. You refresh your energy for the long term, to support you in your daily life. You connect with yourself and your community on a deeper level.
