Join San Francisco-based yoga teacher and owner of The Pad Studios, Nicole Cronin on a Retreat to Paradise in Troncones Beach, Mexico (the same retreat center she received her 1st yoga teacher training certificate in November 2012).

Present Moment is an exclusive oceanfront boutique hotel and yoga retreat center situated on a quiet, serene beach that’s perfect for long walks, horse back riding or just minutes away from great surf breaks, kayaking and eco-tours.

The healthy gourmet cuisine (including a full juice, smoothie and happy hour bar) and reasonably priced spa & wellness treatments make this location a perfect choice for a true retreat experience. 

Our morning yoga practice will consist of mediation, breath work and a steady & soulful Vinyasa Flow set to both the sound of the ocean and rhythmical music to take you deeper into your practice. 

Our afternoon yoga practice will be a nourishing mixture of Slow Flow, restorative and light-hearted dharma talks. 

Nicole’s teaching style is intentional & intuitive, she is a lead teacher in a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training at her studio in San Francisco and has a wealth of yogic knowledge and beyond to draw from.   If you arrive on this retreat hungry to explore- we will weave in a myriad of themes ranging from the 8 limbs of yoga, anatomy, the energetics of yoga, chakras, partner assists and more!  You will also have plenty of time to stroll on the beach, go into town, nap, read, or take one of many surf or eco-tours that the Present Moment will arrange for you with their trusted adventure partners.

During our time together on the beautiful yoga deck with views of the ocean, Marlene Handler will be offering a few (optional) sessions dedicated to practices and education of the Pelvic Floor.  We will certainly have a dance party or 2 as well, and Live Music on the weekend nights!

About Pelvic Floor Workshops: (these workshops will be woven into our weekly schedule- they are encouraged but optional)

Marlene will be everything from a participant to educator during our week in paradise. She will bring presence and joy to everyone that decides to take a deeper dive into self-intimacy and pelvic floor health.

Nicole Cronin began her yogic journey in 2007 when she started a regular Ashtanga practice with a long time student of Pattabi Jois- Larry Schultz of It’s Yoga, San Francisco. 

Years later, Nicole fell in love with the fluid, dynamic and soulful style of her teacher Janet Stone, along with inspiration from the crew at Laughing Lotus, kundalini teacher- Kia Miller and the alignment based gurus such as Jason Crandell and Harvey Deutch. 

After losing her fiance and breaking her back in a car accident in Bangkok, Thailand in 2012, Nicole has been on a mission to spread more love, courage, warmth, compassion and light-heartedness in the world through the teachings of yoga. 

Nicole also draws inspiration from many of her beloved teachers that span the realms of Buddhism, Mindfulness, Aikido & Leadership Embodiment.

Nicole has taught for Outdoor Yoga SF, companies and teams of all sizes and hosted retreats for over a decade. Nicole is also the co-owner of The Pad Studios in San Francisco, a boutique yoga studio that's known for it's light-filled, warm and urban sanctuary vibe since 2008.

Marlene Handler is an occupational therapist specializing in pelvic health based in Brooklyn, NY. 

She runs her own private practice called The Lifted Lotus. Her approach is grounded in nervous system and somatic awareness, lifestyle modification, and self-love. She is a passionate health educator and believes accurately understanding our bodies can be one of the most empowering things a person can know.

Not only is Marlene a truly amazing human and 20 year dear friend of Nicole's she was also a guest on a recent summer yoga retreat of Nicole’s in Costa Rica. As the students on the retreat got to know Marlene and learn about what she does professionally, everyone was fascinated, delighted and inspired to learn more from her. Every human has a pelvic floor, and many of us know very little about the pelvic floor and its functions. Marlene will shed some light on this mysterious, powerful part of our bodies.

Marlene will combine mindfulness techniques and breathwork with somatic body scanning to bring present awareness to various body parts, and more specifically your pelvis, pelvic floor, and root chakra.

Practices related to supporting the pelvic floor allow for increased circulation, energy, relaxation, optimal function, strength and pleasure throughout our lives.
