Immerse yourself in the vibrant artistic traditions of Thailand on this curated 12-day journey designed exclusively for RISD alumni. Beginning in Bangkok, explore world-class contemporary art spaces, ancient temples, and the city's celebrated street art scene — then travel through the historic ruins of Ayutthaya, the lush landscapes of Khao Yai, and the artisan heartland of Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai.
Along the way, get hands-on: cook alongside a professional chef, dye indigo fabric with a local artisan, weave on a traditional frame loom, and observe the silver-smithing traditions of a 16th-century temple. Cap it all with a meaningful morning at the Elephant Nature Park, one of Thailand's leading elephant conservation sanctuaries.
This is Thailand beyond the guidebook — a thoughtfully crafted experience connecting art lovers with the makers, spaces, and stories that define one of Southeast Asia's most creatively rich cultures. For a full day-by-day itinerary, click here.
