About this trip

Where nervous system healing meets tropical restoration.

Rooted & Radiant is an invitation into deep nervous system restoration, intentional rest, and holistic healing through the wisdom of Ayurveda, mindfulness, and embodied living. Surrounded by the lush beauty of Costa Rica, guests will be guided through practices designed to cultivate presence, connection, and renewal including yoga, meditation, breath-work, therapeutic bodywork, and nourishing Ayurvedic rituals. Through nature immersion, meaningful community, and spacious reflection, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the body, and return to a more grounded and radiant way of being.

Restore ~ Reconnect ~ Renew ~ Radiate

Guests will experience a thoughtfully curated week of daily yoga, meditation, breath-work, and mindfulness practices designed to support nervous system healing and deep restoration. The retreat will also include immersive Ayurvedic workshops, sound healing experiences, and optional therapeutic 2-hour bodywork sessions to encourage relaxation, balance, and embodiment. Surrounded by the tropical beauty of Costa Rica, participants will enjoy eco-luxury accommodations, nourishing meals, and opportunities for beach and jungle immersion, all within the warmth of a small, intimate retreat community. Spacious integration and reflection practices woven throughout the week will allow guests to fully absorb and carry home the restorative benefits of the experience.

Each day of the retreat is intentionally designed to feel both inspiring and spacious, offering a balanced rhythm of movement, nourishment, rest, and connection. Mornings may begin with gentle yoga, meditation, and mindful practices followed by nourishing meals shared in community. Throughout the week, guests will experience immersive workshops, therapeutic bodywork sessions, and ample free time for rest, reflection, beach walks, or exploring the surrounding jungle landscape. Evenings will invite deeper connection through restorative practices, sound healing, community gatherings, and meaningful moments of reflection under the beauty of the Costa Rican sky.

Spaces for Rooted & Radiant are intentionally limited to just 18 guests to preserve the intimate, restorative nature of the retreat experience. If you feel called to join us in Costa Rica for a week of deep nourishment, mindfulness, Ayurveda, and tropical restoration, we encourage you to reserve your space early, as accommodations are limited and spaces are expected to fill quickly.

What's Included

Your investment includes seven days and nights of immersive retreat experiences designed to nourish the body, calm the nervous system, and support deep restoration through yoga, mindfulness, Ayurveda, therapeutic bodywork, nourishing meals (3 per day), and connection with nature in beautiful Costa Rica.

Accommodations

Nestled within the lush tropical landscape of Playa Chiquita, our open-air bungalows offer a simple, grounding, and deeply immersive connection to nature. Designed to embrace the rhythm of the surrounding environment, the bungalows do not include air conditioning, as temperatures in Costa Rica remain warm and comfortable year-round, typically ranging between 77–89°F (23–31°C). Ceiling fans in each bungalow help circulate the fresh tropical air, while cooler evening breezes create a naturally restful atmosphere.

Guests can expect to fall asleep to the soothing sounds of jungle life and awaken to birdsong, ocean air, and the vibrant energy of the surrounding community. Each bungalow is thoughtfully equipped with one queen bed and one twin bed, creating a cozy and comfortable shared retreat experience.

For guests desiring additional privacy, a limited number of private room options may be available for an additional fee. Whether shared or private, the accommodations are intended to support rest, simplicity, connection, and an authentic experience of Costa Rica’s natural beauty.

Weather

The Caribbean coast of Costa Rica offers a warm, lush, and vibrant tropical climate year-round, with temperatures typically ranging between 77–89°F (23–31°C). This unique region is often described as having its own “microclimate,” meaning its weather patterns can differ greatly from other parts of the country.

Unlike the Pacific coast, this area does not experience a sharply defined rainy or dry season. Guests may enjoy stretches of warm sunshine even during the rainy season, while refreshing tropical showers can occasionally appear throughout the year. The ever-present humidity nourishes the rich jungle landscape, creating the vibrant greenery, abundant wildlife, and immersive natural beauty that make this region so special.

What to Pack

We encourage guests to embrace the rhythm of the tropics by packing lightweight clothing, breathable layers, a light rain jacket, sandals, swimwear, and anything that helps you feel comfortable in warm, humid weather. Bug repellent and a way to introduce the sun to our skin waking from winter with sunscreen, sun hats, sun glasses, and sun shirts are also encouraged. Foot gear - for hiking and walks. The climate is part of the experience: grounding, alive, and deeply connected to the surrounding natural world.

Airport information and transportation to retreat:

Traveling to Tierra de Sueños can feel smooth, easeful, and enjoyable with a little preparation. The retreat center is approximately a five-hour drive from the San José airport, offering a scenic journey through the beautiful and diverse landscapes of Costa Rica. A provided shuttle bus will meet you at the airport to transport you to Tierra de Sueños. Along the way, transportation will include a stop for an optional meal and a chance to stretch and refresh before continuing to the coast.

We encourage guests to settle into the experience by bringing along a good book, downloaded music or podcasts, snacks, and water for the ride. The journey itself becomes part of the retreat, an opportunity to slow down, take in the scenery, and transition gently into the rhythm of tropical restoration and retreat life.
