Acclimatiziation Walk – Guagua Pichincha
The lovers of mountaineering each year find in the elevations of the equator the perfect place to
live height experiences. Volcanoes like the Chimborazo, Cotopaxi, Cayambe or the Sangay take the
protagonism of this extreme adventure and cause the fans to want to conquer their peaks. But
before you travel it is important to perform a previous acclimatization, to achieve the purpose of
reaching its summits. The most optimal and recommended is to adapt to the environment in mini-
mountains as the Guahua Pichincha volcano with 4790 m / 15715 feet high. It is located northwest
of the community of Lloa and a bit south of the Rucu Pichincha. To reach the volcano, the most
