About this trip

The Sacred Journey-Bali yoga retreat was created to enhance your yoga practice, uplift your spirit and explore the beautiful and sacred landscape of Bali.  This magical island is a destination where people from around the globe go to heal and realign with their higher selves and higher purposes. In this meticulously tailored retreat, we leverage the island’s energy to assist you in shifting your vision to prioritize what you want to manifest in your life. Through daily focused and supported yoga and meditation, coupled with guided journaling and time for introspection, you will begin to move out of your head and habits of overthinking, transitioning into a higher level of intuition and self-awareness. This retreat will leave you relaxed, refreshed and ready to take on your life with a new vitality and passion!

We will be visiting some of the sacred sites, shrines and temples in Ubud, and exploring the terraced rice fields and rain forests surrounding the valley.  One of the most important aspects of our trips will be connecting with locals, their customs and beliefs.

Our days

Our days will begin and end with yoga and meditation.

The following is the tentative schedule for the retreat:

Day 1: Arrive at Naya Ubud, a luxury retreat destination nestled in plush gardens, with the yoga shala overlooking a river and gardens, surrounded by rice fields in Ubud, Bali.

Day 2: We will go off site to join local Laughing Yoga Instructors with BALI HAPPY to visit a local orphanage and school, where we will participate in a yoga session with the children.

Day 3: We will visit the Holy Spring Water Temple.  You will have time during the day to relax by the pool, the walk through the rice fields or visit the many local markets.

Day 4 & 5:  We will begin our days with sunrise meditation and yoga and move into a relaxing brunch.  You have the option of relaxing poolside, going for a hike or going into town to meander through the many Ubud markets.  We will finish our days with restorative yoga and an extended savanna to prepare our bodies for a good night sleep.

Molly and Lauren are perfect leaders. This retreat was what I needed to ground myself for fall. I wish the last day had been all day!

This was a wonderful combination of a yoga/wellness retreat and boutique tourism. Staying at Il Roccone, a beautifully renovated farmhouse tucked up on a hill overlooking the beautiful town of Piancastagnaio, Italy was amazing! Each morning we began our day with meditation up on a platform surrounded by a most serene natural environment. The meditation began with an inspirational reading from Molly or Lauren, our illustrious hosts!! Once done, we would go down to the yoga studio for yoga activities which also included, but not limited to, yoga, sound baths etc. Absolutely outstanding! The resonant sounds truly soothed my soul. The team assigned to the Retreat, could not be more accommodating. Carlo the owner of the farmhouse, along with Renato, the house manager and Elena our chef, truly cared about our comfort and always provided assistance when needed with a smile at all times!! Just to mention, if there are dietary concerns, they will be accommodated. Also, each day there was an excursion of some type, planned for the group, i.e. hiking, city tours, thermal baths, wine tasting etc. I highly recommend this Retreat if you want to rediscover yourself and/or become a better version of yourself. Molly and Lauren will guide you through whatever it is you may need. They are very compassionate, patient and non-judgmental. Wonderful program! Thank you!!!!! Michele M.

Words can not begin to express the gratitude I have for this experience. The grounds, accommodations and staff of ChoZen were simply amazing. From the moment of arrival to the bittersweet moment of departure, this yoga retreat flowed from one experience to the next with love and grace. Lauren and Molly poured their heart and souls into ensuring that each participant had a beautiful experience - and that physical limitations don't stop the flow of our practice. We learned to love ourselves where we are in our yoga practice and found deep compassion for ourselves in our every day lives. The addition of Jared and percussion through yoga and sound bath meditations took the experience to new levels. Ryan's input on acupuncture and how to integrate acupressure into everyday practical living combined with a visit to the Kashi Ashram was quite the perk. Chef Collin's food was divine art. I have expanded my knowledge and my soul to places I'd never imagined. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of this group, as each member of this experience was a gift. I feel that any retreat that Lauren and Molly pull together in the future will be a once in a lifetime experience that should not be missed. This was a beautiful adventure that flowed as life does with unexpected twists and turns. I feel so grateful to have been a part of it.
