About your trip

In Salvador, more than anywhere else in Brazil, African influence is deeply woven into daily life—from religious festivals and ceremonies to bold, spice-forward cuisine, capoeira schools, and vibrant artistic expression. As the heart of traditional and contemporary Afro-Brazilian culture, Salvador is known for its Afro-Brazilian Carnival and community-rooted movements that invite visitors to learn about Bahia’s African roots through lived experience, not just observation.

This Bahia trip is ideal for solo travelers, couples, or small groups seeking meaningful cultural immersion. Expect opportunities to engage with local traditions, history, food, and everyday life—creating connections that go beyond sightseeing and leave a lasting impression.
