Jamaica -  Travel Weekend is an authentic getaway weekend featuring the best of Jamaican culture all while giving back!

 This tour is inclusive of a taste of the beautiful Montego Bay and Ochi Rios with an authentic feel of Jamaica - the colorful culture infused with reggae, delectable dishes, passionate people,  nature and the vibrant  nightlife,  and an opportunity  to give back  to the community with  to  a local Orphanage.

In light of the current pandemic, COVID -19, to participate in the upcoming trip, all participants must:

- Complete the Travel Authorization with the Jamaican government via VisitJamaica.com  

- Complete a COVID-19 Test within 10 days of travel and present negative results that must be uploaded to supplement your Travel Authorization 

- We strongly encourage that you travel light (carry-on only).  This will  significantly alleviate the amount of time you spend at the airport  upon arrival in Jamaica

- All participants must travel  with mask as it will be required  to be worn throughout the duration of your flight. 

- For your safety  and that of others, also travel with hand sanitizer and be sure to wash your hands frequently.

Day One welcomes you to Jamrock with an evening of relaxation and chill vibe getting to know the rest of the group after a long day of traveling

12:00pm: Arrive at latest 1pm to the Sangsters International Airport - Montego Bay, Jamaica! Enjoy a Meet & Greet with VIP concierge welcoming you with a fast-track through the airport and exclusive customs experience. Be sure to have your completed travel  authorization form accessible on your mobile  device or printed.

1:30pm - Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport to transport you safely and comfortably to the  resort!

2pm: You've arrived at the resort! Time to relax, have a nice cold island drink! Feel to catch up on rest, grab a bite or simply connect with the others in the group)  

7pm: Welcome Night Dinner & Icebreaker : Meet at and greet at the seaside for our official welcome dinner and icebreaker! At this time, we will also be welcoming you with fun gifts and updates as we prepare for the awesome days ahead!

10pm: Optional - Nightlife  entertainment   at the  resort

You've been travelling yesterday and we know must be so ready to bask in a little 

R & R, so enjoy the resort, check out the spa if you'd like, sleep in,  explore the beach on property, try out some of the amazing restaurants or whatever you please! The day is at your leisure! We will catch up with you in the evening!

3:30pm: Now that you've had the day to yourself, meet  up with us in the lobby because we are getting to go enjoy some real Jamaican  vibes! Our private  driver will be  waiting for you, so come mask ready and let's go explore the town! 

4pm: First stop, let's meet the kids  and give back! 

5:30pm: Sightseeing through   and stop at a local roadside eatery  for a taste of the authentic taste of  Jamaica

6pm:  Margaritaville Jamaica - Nightlife Fun - drinks,  vibes, and chill

9pm: Return to Hotel...and  get ready for an early morning of more fun ahead!

It is time to enjoy the beauty of Jamaica with fun in the sun and a little adventure! Keep in mind, we will be actively doing a  travel challenge with chances for you to win awesome prizes!

Enjoy an authentic Jamaican Breakfast at leisure

8:00am: Meet in the hotel lobby for pickup ( pack your swimwear, sunblock, sunglasses, mask, hand sanitizer and your give back items) in preparation for the day ahead.

Escort to Ochi Rios with the best of reggae music playing along the way and tour guide sharing with you insight about the historic sites you pass along the way plus  enjoy a taste of some island rum by your guide!

Stop at Discovery Bay!  This historic site is said to be where Christopher Columbus  first "discovered" Jamaica during his second voyage to the New World and claimed it for Spain on May 5, 1494. During this  stop, your guide will teach you more this history lesson and the true  indigenous  people of Jamaica!

Let  the  adventures  begin! We will start off  with taking an adventurous  Jitney Ride (tractor drawn open-air carriage) while learning more on Jamaica's rich and colorful history,  importation of  crops including the bananas, cassava, sugar cane, coffee, and allspice (of which you will pass along the ride), and see Farmer Brown climb a 30 feet coconut tree!

 Explore Prospect Great House - former great house for one of Jamaica's slave plantations. Bask in  the variety of astonishing views of the Island and wander onto the veranda where you´ll be breathtaken by the spectacular panoramic view of the pristine waters of the Caribbean Sea from 1,100 feet above sea level.
View the World's largest known collection of Tortoise Shell Combs -dating back to Henry Morgan's time- inside the Great House.

Learn to Cook Like A Jamaican: Jamaica Cooking Class

Ever wondered  what it's really  like  to cook Jamaican  food authentically? 

Well, you are in luck! During this session,  you will be the chef with a FUN session preparing your own dish of - Callaloo,  Fried Dumpling and the infamous  JERK CHICKEN! After cooking, you will then have the honors to enjoy your scrumptious  meal!  YUMMMMM

 Now we are off  to explore more of Jamaica's natural flora and a bird aviary, where you will have the opportunity to welcome local and exotic birds, take pics with them and perhaps  even  join in  chorus "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley with them, lol. Only  kidding  about the last  part, but that would be cool huh lol :)

It is time for a  dip in the Secret River where you get a taste of a natural  blue  hole that is  secluded, crystal clear,  fresh and  in the midst of an abundant tropical forest for you to enjoy a true irie vibe!

Time to enjoy some island food after a  fun day  of adventure!

5:30pm - One IRIE Group  pic then we  hop  back on our  tour bus for  a relaxing  ride back to the resort!  with reggae/dancehall playing on route back! 

7:00pm  - Arrive back at the resort

9:00pm: Farewell Dinner

 Enjoy your final morning in Jamaica at leisure!

Suggestion:

Consider capturing the sunrise on the beach at the hotel property and go for swim or kayaking!

Have an authentic Jamaican breakfast while recollecting all the memories of a great experience!

Check out of the hotel  (at least 3hr prior to your return flight or noon which ever comes first) . 

Your driver will be picking you up from the hotel lobby to escort you to the airport where you can do a bit of last minute shopping before your flight!
