Itinerary

Day 1
Thursday

Upon arrival at Baltra Airport, travelers pass through an airport inspection point to insure that no foreign plants or animals are introduced to the islands, as well as to pay the park entrance fee of $100 (unless it has been prepaid). A representative of our Galapagos Sea Star Journey will meet you, help you collect your luggage, and escort you on a bus ride to the Itabaca Channel and then transfer to Puerto Ayora.
PM: Charles Darwin Station, Santa Cruz Island Although the great majority of Galapagos visitors come here to observe and appreciate natural wonders, it is also interesting to learn how the protection and conservation of the islands are carried out. The main attractions are the National Park information center, the Van Staelen Exhibition Hall, the Breeding and Rearing Center for young tortoises and adult Galapagos tortoises in captivity.

As far as the wildlife is concerned, we enjoyed very much. But not much with the journey, when both time one of the engine failure lengthened our travel time by 3 hours, and the boat was noticeably more rocky and made us sea sick. The snorkel site is not amazing either.

Overall, I think the experience was awesome. The boat ride was calm and easy, the island was beautiful, and the first snorkeling spot was fabulous. The second snorkeling spot was not worth the stop. We saw few fish, and the water was murky. The food was good and the crew friendly and knowledgeable. The only concern I had was that the person with whom I communicated at Galapagos Natural Life was difficult to understand. I asked several questions, and I think they tried to answer but it is only because I dropped by the tour office two days before the scheduled trip date that I got complete information on what to do.

Would like to thank Galapagos Lastminute for a well organised tour. Comfortable accommodation in a great location.

We had a great time. The Galapagos islands are so beautiful with an abundant of different wildlife than other places we have visited. The staff were very enthusiastic and explained things clearly. All the animals we expected to see we did. The Islands natural beauty was great.

We had a great experience! Very wonderful places and snorkeling. Unfortunately we didn’t see hammersharks but many jellyfishes.

I recently booked a Galapagos cruise for my wife and myself with Galapagos Natural Life (GNL) and I'm very satisfied with the services rendered and my overall experience. Rodrigo, the Tour Manager, was with me every step of the way, answering all of my questions and concerns about getting to the airport, the check in procedures and document requirements. He was always available to answer a question no matter the time of day or day of the week. Even though we arrived two days before the start of our cruise, Rodrigo gladly arranged for transportation from the airport to my temporary residence and back again to the airport for the Galapagos flight which he also arranged and booked for us. Full disclosure, I had attempted to book the same cruise to the Galapagos Islands with another well known travel organization in Quito but dropped them due to hundreds of dollars of unexplained fees in their pricing. GNL's pricing was upfront with no hidden or unexplained charges and I found their pricing to be a much better value as it included my flights to the islands. The cruise ship, the Galapagos Legend, was amazing and I highly recommend taking a cruise to see the islands. When we decided to spend an extra night on Santa Cruz island after disembarking, Rodrigo cheerfully provided hotel recommendations and arranged for our luggage to be separated from the cruise ship and delivered to our final stop where he had arranged for a taxi to pick us, and our luggage up, and bring us to our hotel. All of this extra service was above and beyond the scope of the original tour but he did it for us anyway. We were so impressed with our experience with GNL, we decided to visit their office in Quito to express our gratitude. We were warmly received by Rodrigo and his staff who treated us more like good friends than customers inviting us to share breakfast and coffee with him. I would highly recommend anyone looking to book a cruise or tour to the Galapagos Islands and/or Ecuador to consider GNL if professional and personalized service as well as a seamless travel experience is important to them.
