Sillustani Chullpas
Chullpas of Sillustani Cultural and Archaeological Tour
The Chullpas de Sillustani tour starts around 2:00 p.m. On a high plateau, more than 30 kilometers north of Puno, where Sillustani is located, one of the largest necropolises in the world.
During the tour you will also be able to see impressive landscapes, as well as the Umayo lagoon, which is close to the archaeological complex of the chullpas, built by Collas and Incas, to bury their dead.
Then while there, they will explain to us some characteristics of the chullpas, where many of them had exceeded 12 meters in height, in addition to having a larger diameter at the top than at the base.
