Our Program Includes an Exclusive 2 Day / 1 Night Pre-Cruise Program in San Juan:

On the first day of our trip we board and early morning flight to arrive in San Juan.  Board our included transfer to our San Juan Hotel to unwind and freshen up after our travels.  This afternoon and evening you can take time to enjoy the amenities of the hotel or feel free to venture off and explore what the city life of San Juan has to offer at your own pace and leisure.

On the second day of our trip enjoy breakfast included at the hotel to start off our day.  We then board our motorcoach for a wonderful day of sightseeing around San Juan.  Enjoy a guided drive through one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean, San Juan, with its 17th century architecture and historic buildings. You'll have the opportunity to stroll around the grounds of the biggest fortification built by the Spaniards in the New World on our self guided visit to Fort San Cristobal. Come see its Main Plaza, “Garitas” watchtowers and authentic mortor balls. Re-board the bus as we continue our guided tour to the New City, which will take you to the Condado District, filled with high-rise condos and luxury resorts.  We'll stop at one of the beautiful beaches in the area and the Capitol Building for pictures. We'll also visit Old San Juan where you'll visit the famous Plaza Colón. This is a great location to explore the local surroundings, enjoy some shopping, and grab some lunch.  This afternoon we will arrive at the Pier to board our ship for our 8-Day Caribbean Cruise.  Take a step back in time and enjoy this captivating daytime journey through history.

San Juan, Puerto Rico - San Juan has two distinct personalities: there’s the vibrant, modern port city, and then there’s the historic colonial outpost first conquered by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1508. Spanish influence is evident everywhere in the city. Visit fortifications, museums and cathedrals throughout the city and remember to wear comfortable shoes.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands - Discovered by Christopher Columbus himself in 1493, this exotic, peaceful island is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain. A great spot for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighboring islands.

Castries, St. Lucia - Owing to its somewhat checkered past, St. Lucia boasts both French and British influences. Its famous twin peaks are among the most startling geological formations in the world, while the island’s easily accessible and expansive coral reefs make it a preferred destination for snorkelers. Explore the world’s only drive-in volcanic crater at Sulfur Springs. Visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Falls and the Morne Coubaril Estate. 

St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands - The waterfront warehouses where gold-hungry pirates once stored their booty now house treasure of another kind: duty-free china, watches, jewelry and other luxury goods. Shopping is one of the big onshore attractions in Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the US Virgin Islands. St. John’s, Antigua - With a beach for each day of the year, a coastline peppered with safe harbors and a nearly unbroken protective wall of coral reef, Antigua was fought over by many nations. It has been staunchly British since Lord Horatio Nelson established a naval headquarters here in the 1700s. 

Bridgetown, Barbados - On this island of tropical palm-fringed beaches there’s an ambiance that ranges from sophisticated (in Bridgetown) to slow-paced. Enjoy an exciting tour of Harrison’s cave, filled with underground streams, thundering waterfalls, stalactites and stalagmites.

COVID VACCINATION - There are no requirements or restrictions regarding COVID Vaccinations at this time.  Guests will be notified by Best of Times Travel of any changes to requirements or mandates that take place prior to our trip departure date.   Best of Times Travel is not responsible for guests being denied boarding due to their inability to meet required mandates to sail.    

Here are some important details regarding the finalization of  your cruise booking once it is completed:  

Official Cruise Booking - Once you have made your booking with Best of Times Travel on-line through this site you will receive an email notification that your reservation has been placed and payment received.  This is NOT your official booking information with the cruise line.  Shortly after your booking you will receive a secondary email directly from Best of Times Travel Office with your official Cruise Registration Number and Cabin Number for the Cruise.  Any customers receiving a confirmation from our office with a Cabin Number that begins with a "GTY" means that your are guaranteed that cabin category or better on the ship.  It means the ship is getting full and the cruise line would only guarantee you that category or better.  If Best of Times Travel is unable to confirm your reservation with the Cruise Line you will be notified as such and a full refund of payments made upon registration will be issued.

Travel Insurance – If you have chosen the optional Chubb Travel Protection program, please print off a copy of the brochure for your records.  This has important information on it regarding coverage and services provided by the insurance program.

Final Payment – Please note that final payment is due into our offices no later than October 1st, 2025.  Please note that our on-line booking system is set up with automated installment payments on your account instead of making one lump sum payment at the end.  If you do not wish to be on the automated installment plan, please email our office at rtreat@bestoftimestravel..com and we will stop the automated payment plan.  You will be notified via email closer to the final payment time that your balance is due.  Please be reminded that failure to submit final payment on time may result in automatic cancellation and subsequent cancellation fees.

Online Check in Form – Please note that Norwegian Cruise Lines & U.S. and International Customs Authorities require accurate completion of the Online Check in Form. Please complete this form at least 21 days prior to trip departure. To complete the registration process go to www.ncl.com. Click on “REGISTER” in the upper right hand corner of the page if you have not sailed with NCL before or did not provide your latitudes number.  For customers that have sailed with NCL before and have an existing latitudes number Click on “LOG IN” in the upper right hand corner of the web page.  Follow the prompts from there to complete the registration. You will need your reservation/booking #, which will be emailed to you from our office once a cabin has been assigned.   You will need to provide NCL your passport information as well as other pertinent personal information.  Once you have logged into your account and have provided the necessary guest information you will also be able to do other tasks when logged into your account such as: 

• Reserve your table at specialty dining restaurants
• Receive exclusive email updates, deals, and insider tips
• Explore and book shore excursions before they fill up
• Book seats for entertainment, spa services and other onboard activities
• Check in online and prepare your boarding eDocs to save time at the pier

Final Documents -  Please note that all of your final boarding documents will be available for you to print out on-line approximately 3 weeks prior to the sailing date.  You will also receive email correspondence from Best of Times Travel outlining your transfer details to/from the Pier in Boston.

Discovered by Christopher Columbus himself in 1493, this exotic, peaceful island is home to both towering mahogany trees and white-sand beaches. The region offers a challenging hike that extends 1,780 feet up Sage Mountain. A great spot for great birdwatching and breathtaking views of Tortola and neighboring islands.

With a beach for each day of the year, a coastline peppered with safe harbors and a nearly unbroken protective wall of coral reef, Antigua was fought over by many nations. It has been staunchly British since Lord Horatio Nelson established a naval headquarters here in the 1700s. 

On this island of tropical palm-fringed beaches there’s an ambiance that ranges from sophisticated (in Bridgetown) to slow-paced. Enjoy an exciting tour of Harrison’s cave, filled with underground streams, thundering waterfalls, stalactites and stalagmites.

Owing to its somewhat checkered past, St. Lucia boasts both French and British influences. Its famous twin peaks are among the most startling geological formations in the world, while the island’s easily accessible and expansive coral reefs make it a preferred destination for snorkelers. Explore the world’s only drive-in volcanic crater at Sulfur Springs. Visit the Diamond Botanical Gardens and Falls and the Morne Coubaril Estate.   

There’s no formal border between Dutch St. Maarten and French St. Martin. No split personality, either. Just hypothetical line in the sand and beautiful Mullet Bay. On the Dutch side is a casino and shops and on the French, Charming cafes and high-fashion boutiques. 

The waterfront warehouses where gold-hungry pirates once stored their booty now house treasure of another kind: duty-free china, watches, jewelry and other luxury goods. Shopping is one of the big onshore attractions in Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the US Virgin Islands. Offshore, colorful coral reefs in turquoise waters lure snorkelers and scuba divers from all over the world. And everywhere, there’s spectacular scenery everyone can enjoy! 

This morning we will disembark our ship as we say goodbye to a fabulous cruise.  We then board our flight back home to Boston with incredible memories of a lifetime on our journey together.
