We have pre-dawn access to Ashely River for sunrise and local gardens to capture spring blooms. Old historic piers dot the coast line, and old cypress swamps awaken. We live in the Carolinas, we know the best, and the lesser known photo spots, old wooden piers, lakes with floating cypress trees and tree filled beaches. Lodge away from Charleston’s hectic city traffic and highway hotels, and enjoy a true, peaceful spring workshop where inspiration, learning and smiles are abundant!

While meals are not included in the workshop fee, we like to dine as a group to discuss the day’s events and be on hand for any questions

Processing Class

Sunrise along the Ashely River with live oak trees, Spanish moss and low country beauty. Coastal sunrise with old wooden pier. 

Sunrise Sessions

First light with old oak trees lined with magnolia blooms. Early morning photography with live oaks, lakes with bridges.

First Light Sessions

Audubon Swamp Garden and Bird Sanctuary. Visit to Audubon Swamp Forest. Old roads with live oak tree canopies.

Day Sessions

Sunset with floating cypress trees. Coastal sunset with trees and surf.

Sunset Sessions

All admissions costs to gardens, lakes, beaches, piers, swamp gardens, bird sanctuary are included.

Day 1

<ul><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">We will begin each day with a sunrise photo session and stay with the light photographing river scenes, beaches, birds, gardens, flowers, oak trees and more</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">Recharge Break</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">Afternoons will include photography sessions focused on flowers, creative photography, long exposures, lighting, wildlife, live oak trees and more</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">We will finish each day with a sunset photo session</li><li class="ui-30d40835-py-17 ui-30d40835-bg-gray-400 ui-30d40835-border-gray-400">We pause for breakfast, stop for lunch and like to have dinner as a group</li></ul>

CHS - Charleston, SC 

Most walks are considered easy along garden paths, swamp boardwalks, grasses. We will photograph around tree filled lakes and tree lined beaches. You should be in good general health and be able to carry your own equipment.
