Professional Development: You will have the opportunity to visit schools and meet local educators. Please note, when we offer school visits, we are not guaranteeing you will be in your exact grade level.  Learning about a new culture and making connections with educators provides an authentic learning experience for you to reflect on and bring back to your classroom.

You will be given a professional development certificate for 20 hours of professional development.

Day 1 - June 16

Arrival in Seoul

Arrive in Seoul. Our BBT Team will assist in your transfer from the airport to the hotel. 

Upon arrival, we will have a welcome reception. 


Depending on when you arrive, you may have free time to explore the city on your own.

Day 2 - June 17

Gyeongbokgung Palace, Bukchon Hanok Village & More!

Today we will meet our South Korean guide and enjoy a full day exploring the vibrant city of Seoul.


Included Group Activities: 

In the morning, we will visit iconic landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, the National Folk Museum, and the Blue House, the residence of the South Korean President.


In the afternoon we will visit Bukchon Hanok Village: Explore the traditional Korean houses, known as hanok, in the beautiful Bukchon Hanok Village. 


Evening Free Time: Spend the evening exploring the vibrant streets of Seoul or enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 3 - June 18

Namsan Seoul Tower/ Mountain/ DMZ & Myeongdong

Today we will continue discovering the sights and sounds of Seoul.

Namsan Seoul Tower (We will take a cable car or hike up Namsan Mountain to the tower, where you can enjoy a breathtaking 360-degree view of the metropolis)

Shopping in Myeongdong

Dive into one of Seoul's most popular shopping districts, Myeongdong. From Korean skincare products to local street food, this area has it all.


Evening (around 6pm)

Free Time: Experience Seoul’s lively night markets or opt for an evening cultural performance at a traditional theater.

 Free Day to explore Seoul on your own!

 


OPTIONAL ACTIVITY (Additional Cost- We Travel)
Tour of Suwon
(50km outside of Seoul)! 

This includes a visit to Suwonhwaseong fortress, the fortress train, and an archery experience! Then you will stop for lunch on your way to Yongin. 

In Yongin, you will have a tour of this Korean Folk village with a cultural performance!

Then you will return to Seoul in the evening.


 OPTIONAL ACTIVITY (Additional Cost- We Travel)
 Seoul: Palace, Temple and Market Guided Foodie Tour at Night

 6pm START TIME

 Discover Seoul’s flavors, history, and culture by moonlight on a nighttime walking tour. This evening excursion enables you to see top attractions, like Changgyeonggung Palace and Jogyesa Temple, from an illuminated vantage point without the daytime tourist crowds. Be sure to arrive hungry, as the itinerary includes Gwangjang Market, where you’ll devour numerous Korean culinary delicacies. Along the way, your guide provides immersive and interactive commentary.

Travel to Busan

Afternoon  Departure to Busan: Travel to the coastal city of Busan via high-speed train. Busan, South Korea’s second-largest city, is known for its beaches, seafood, and temples.

Day 7 - June 22

Busan Tour Day

Full day touring the cultural and scenic highlights of Busan.


Included Group Activities:

Morning-We will start the day with a visit  tour of Busan’s colorful Gamcheon Culture Village, known for its artistic murals, vibrant houses, and picturesque streets.

 Educator Takeaway: Understand the role of art in urban renewal and how community-driven initiatives can revive and reshape neighborhoods, fostering a sense of identity and pride among residents. 


Afternoon- We will explore the Haedong Yonggungsa Temple, a stunning Buddhist temple set against the coastline. Take in the breathtaking views of the ocean and temple architecture.

Educator Takeaway:  Explore the principles of Buddhist philosophy as reflected in the temple's architecture and serene setting. Understand the significance of coastal temples in Korean Buddhism. 


Evening Free Time: Relax on the beach or enjoy dinner in Busan’s bustling food markets.

 Today we will tour Gyeongju with our guide!

Day 9 - June 24

Fly to Jeju Island

Today we will fly together to Jeju Island and begin discovering its natural beauty.


1:25pm - Flight to Jeju Island: Head to Jeju, South Korea’s largest island, known for its stunning landscapes, volcanic craters, and waterfalls.

2:25pm arrive at Jeju Island

1 CHECKED: 33 pounds for  checked / 80 inches (Max 30 inch suitcase)

1 CARRYON- 22lbs for carryon (10kg, total of 3 sides less than 115cm - width 55cm, length 20cm, height 40cm)

1 Small personal Item (purse)

If you would like to bring more, there will be a fee you will pay at the airport (Each 11 pounds extra is about $7)


Afternoon-

Exploration of Jeju: Begin exploring Jeju Island’s natural beauty. Visit Seongsan Ilchulbong (Sunrise Peak), a UNESCO World Heritage site, or the beautiful Manjanggul Cave, one of the world’s largest lava tubes.


Evening Free Time- Enjoy a relaxing evening on the island or explore the local Jeju night markets.

Day 10 - June 25

Free Day on Jeju Island

Free Day

Spend the day discovering Jeju Island at your leisure. Explore Hallasan Mountain, visit Jeju’s famous waterfalls, or relax on the beaches. You can also visit local museums, such as the Jeju Stone Park or the Spirited Garden.

Day 11 - June 26

Fly back to Seoul

Morning Flight to Seoul:

Return to Seoul for your final day in South Korea. Take this time to finish any last-minute shopping or sightseeing.
