Photographing the Oregon Coast is a magical experience. The southern coastline is home to the Samuel H. Boardman Scenic Corridor, and it is stunning! 12 miles of coastline with rocky beaches, coastal overlooks, crashing waves and dramatic nature! We will intensely capture the beauty of this area during this workshop.

*Beginners must have a good working knowledge of their camera and settings

Three airports service the area:

MFR Rogue Valley, OR Airport, 2.5 hours
EUG Eugene, OR Int’l Airport, 4 hours
PDX Portland International Airport, 6 hours

Most coastline photo locations are considered easy with sand and rocks. Some hiking on wooded trails to reach dramatic coastal locations is required. You should be able to hike up to .5 miles one-way while carrying your equipment. Some areas of the Scenic Corridor provide more challenging declines, but it is not required to descend - photos can be taken at higher, moderate locations.

We begin each day with a sunrise along the rocky coastline, then return for a proper photographers’ breakfast! We will spend the afternoon along the Scenic Corridor photographing waves and sunset.
