About this trip

Patsy Cline is an American music icon and perhaps the most popular female country singer in recording history.  Though she recorded for only eight years and made her last record nearly 50 years ago, her body of work -- those classic torch songs and ballads of heartache -- have continued to resonate with music fans of all genres.  Her brief career produced the #1 jukebox hit of all time, “Crazy” (written by Willie Nelson) and her unique, crying style and vocal impeccability have established her reputation as the quintessential torch singer.

Cline made her national television debut in January 1957 on Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts performing ‘Walkin’ After Midnight,’ which became a No. 2 country hit and reached No. 12 on the pop charts. The singer collected a total of 6 Top 10 singles in her short career, including the No. 1 country singles, ‘I Fall to Pieces’ and ‘She’s Got You.’  She has also been seen as a forerunner for women in country music, being among the first to sell records and headline concerts. In 1973, she became the first female performer to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The legendary Patsy Cline comes to life once again in the national touring show Memories of Patsy. This incredible tribute concert takes its audience on a trip back in time to the days when the amazing singer graced the stages of America.  The songs are woven into the very fabric of American music and the voice is spectacular. Some of the great tunes you can expect to hear at a Memories of Patsy performance are: Crazy, Walkin’ After Midnight, I Fall to Pieces, She’s Got You, San Antonio Rose, Blue Moon of Kentucky, Sweet Dreams and many more.

We had a great time. Trip was thought out well. Five awesome stops in three days and still plenty of time to rest and sit back and relax. Great tour guide and bus driver. Looking forward to next trip.

This was the first time I have traveled with Best of times. It was a fun filled busy, great vacation. I got to go white water rafting, went to top of Lone Peak, MT. South Dakota very informational, the tour bus driver and our local guide were both funny and knowledgeable. It was the trip of a lifetime. Kathy and Dave LeTourno (sp) were able to answer questions and keep us on time. Would definitely recommend.

It was a great trip. Enjoyed visiting all the various destinations but wished there had been more time allowed at some places and we could have skipped others. The long day drive from Rapid City to Big Sky was way too long. We stopped in Billings for lunch which was a half way point and would have made more sense to stay overnight and then drive the next day to Big Sky. Fabulous bus drivers and step on tour guides. Chuck wagon show was a lot of fun and the food was very good. Most of the food was ok. I’m not a big meat eater so often found it difficult to find something to eat. There is only so much chicken you can eat. At Big Sky resort there was a definite communication issue with the Carabiner restaurant for our morning breakfasts. They were very short staffed and that made it difficult for our time restraint for when we needed to be on the bus. The first day they gave us breakfast sandwiches which was fine but day two he was going to do that again but it wasn’t necessary since we didn’t have such as early departure. We wanted to order off the menu and he was not to pleased with that and it took a very long time to get our food. Also since it was there low season, many places had limited hours 8-4 so we didn’t have a lot of alternatives. All and all a good trip. Met some wonderful ,people and made new friends. Kathy did a great job and has a lot of patience thank goodness.

I had a great time. Accommodations chosen were clean, modern and central to the attractions we were to going to. Busses were also clean and accessible for all. Drivers and walk-on tour guides were friendly and knowledgeable. And Kathy L. of Best of Times Travel deserves a gold medal for keeping us all in line and on time throughout the trip.
