About this trip

Join us on a trip for all the senses as we gaze at the spectacular natural beauty of Madeira and the Azores with fine wine in hand. This curated tour takes you first to Madeira, an island over a thousand miles from Africa and Europe's western edge that produces one of the most illustrious and historical wine styles.  We will enjoy the day trips to explore Madeira's wild, natural beauty, partake in local delicacies and have a meal of a lifetime at a Michelin-star restaurant overlooking the Atlantic. Next we are off to the Azores, where we will explore two islands, experiencing the unique food and wines that come from this volcanic terroir.

It was a wine-nerd's dream: tasting wines made from 23 different varietals through a host-led tasting, 7 winery visits and wine with our restaurant meals in Santa Marguerita. And the food was great including our host's home-cooked meals and a chef-prepared dinner at the villa in Barolo, a food tour in Alba, and wonderful restaurant meals in Santa Marguerita. A fantastic trip that included both a food and wine tour and a safari. Well organized and the food, wine and accommodations were all excellent. The wines were selected by two sommeliers including our tour guide. We saw all the animals you would want to see on safari. Thank you Tracy and Mark!
