This is a small group tour experience designed for the smart Australian traveller looking for a little structor and independents. This is partially guided tour and operates with 1-8 passengers and guaranteed with 2 or more passengers. All passengers have our operator in Italy as English Speaking Contact.

Optional extensions are available for those wishing to extend their stay in either Rome or Sorrento OR continue their way South to explore more.

• Group size: 2-8 passengers. A single supplement is available, with the cost depending on room type and availability at the time of booking, ranging approximately from €550 to €950 (final cost to be confirmed upon booking).

• VIP Rate: guaranteed upgrade of all your hotel rooms on this tour from standard rooms - additional €900 per room. Please note: room upgrades are different at each hotel.

• This is a high-activity tour, requiring participants to be fit and active. It is not suitable for those with health concerns or difficulties walking long distances. Passengers who do not meet the health and fitness requirements may be asked to leave the tour at their own expense.

• Travel insurance is strongly recommended before paying deposit. We use Cover-More and offer 10% discount to our clients.

• Hotels in Italy are self rated - therefore, ratings are not the same as in Australia. Talk to us if you want more information about hotels in Italy

• No early starts - normally, we don't start our day before 730am unless services change at the last minute. If operating in summer the half day Pompeii tour will be early due to the heat.

• This is not a fully guided tour with a full time escort but a partial guided tour. You do have support from our Italian operator - Fluent english speaking contact in local time.

On arrival into Rome check in to your centrally located hotel and start exploring amazing Rome. We give you great intel on what to explore in this ancient city and even some highly recommended restaurants (that are not too touristy) that have great food only a quick walk from your hotel.

A must do is a visit to the Trevi fountain to toss a coin - legend has it if you toss a coin in you will return to Rome again

This morning after your Italian style breakfast on the terrace you have time to continue your exploration of Rome. There is so much to do an see in this amazing city.

Return to your hotel to check out at midday. Please remember all your personal belongings !

We then head to the train station for the fast train to Naples. The tour representative will get you to the train station and onto the train to Naples. This is the fast train and seats are allocated for you. It is a good idea to buy some lunch or snacks to take with you. The fast trains have wifi or you can simply enjoy the scenery.

On arrival in Naples, you will be meet by our driver who will direct you to your private transfer to your accommodation in Sorrento or surrounding Sorrento. On the private transfer to your accommodation you will have a 15 minute stop at a local lemon Cello factory and shop. This is a liquor that is local to the region and you will get an opportunity to see first hand how lemon cello is made and what amazing things are produced from local lemons. Your private transfer will drop you at your hotel to check in for the next 5 nights.

Sorrento is a coastal town in southwestern Italy, facing the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, it’s known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic centre is a warren of narrow alleys that's home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister.

This morning after your Italian style breakfast, Meet your tour in the lobby this morning for your private transfer to Pompeii.

Today is a half day tour and this tour is often early to escape the heat of the day - this will depend on the date of your departure.

The city of Pompeii is famous because it was destroyed in 79 CE when a nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius, erupted, covering it in at least 19 feet (6 metres) of ash and other volcanic debris. The city's quick burial preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered in the late 16th century. Today we travel back in time and together with our tour guide we explore the city and its hidden story of the past. After the half day tour you will be dropped back at your hotel lobby.

This afternoon is free to explore Sorrento, take a swim in the hotel pool or just relax

Today after our Italian style breakfast, meet in the lobby for your tour today of the Isle of Capri (weather permitting).

An island of wealth for the wealthy, Capri reveals the secrets of the super-rich in its elegant villas and steep cliffs. Capri was first “discovered” by emperor Augustus in the early years of the Roman Empire. He often resided there and built many temples, villas and gardens as a way of having his own private paradise.

This is a full day tour and you will have time to explore this amazing place. You will take a ferry from the port to the island of capri and have time to explore the area.

On arrival back into Sorrento by ferry in the late afternoon you can either stay in town at the port or be transferred back to your hotel. Dinner will be own arrangements.

After your italian style breakfast, you will be picked up in the lobby for your full day tour of Amalfi coast.

On your day tour you will see dramatic coast line and visit the towns along the Amalfi Coast - Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello .

We will admire the ancient fishing village of Conca dei Marini, which today is home to luxury villas and hotels, Furore with its famous bridge 30 meters high, Praiano and Positano, the "vertical city" famous all around the world.

We will have time to stop and explore Positano Ravello (best views ever from here) and have lunch (at own expense) at the town of Amalfi.

On your return late afternoon from your day tour dinner is at own arrangements.

After your Italian Style breakfast today will be a free one so you have time to explore Sorrento area. 

There is so much do and see here in Sorrento and its great to have a day to just explore. You may like to visit other islands off the coast of Naples like Ishca, somewhere many tourists have not travelled, maybe just visit the beach or catch up on that last minute shopping.

Tonight is your last dinner (at own expensive) which you could have either at the hotel or at one of the many local restaurants – many recommendations!

After your last Italian style breakfast you have the morning free to do any last minute shopping before checking out and meeting in the lobby to take your private transfer back to Naples Train station.

On arrival at Naples Train Station you will board your fast train to Rome.

Once in Rome you will arrive at Rome Terminal and this is the end of your tour
