Welcome and meeting at the airport by our guide. 

Private transfer to the home of a local artisan, where you will learn about Costa Rican culture, enjoy of a delicious homemade meal, and dance around with traditional Costa Rican masks called mascaradas and the cimarrona band. Of course the selfie with this crazy friends will be part of the tour*

Afterwards, a private transfer will take you to your hotel so you can rest and be ready for the next day.

Early pick up at the hotel and transfer to Costa Rica’s Caribbean side. Here you will experience one of the BEST rivers to practice white water rafting. The Pacuare River is full of adventure and will transport you through the rain forest to show you the magic of the river. The first stop of the day will be at the Operation Center to enjoy a well deserved breakfast. You will need all that energy to paddle. After breakfast you will get ready for the river, change your clothes, and then back on the bus that will take you to the river entry spot for your equipment and safety talk. First selfie of the day!

Time to get in the water! At first, you’ll will enjoy of Class II – III rapids. Your expert rafting guide will serve as your motor. He knows this river well, so listen to him for an unforgettable journey. For lunch, you will do a stop in a beautiful, out of way spot for a picnic style meal. 

The lodge is located right in the middle of the path. It is so beautiful to turn a corner in the river and find the river lodge right in front of you surrounded by the forest. Upon arrival you will get your rooms, change out of your rafting gear, and enjoy the afternoon at your leisure. The views from the deck and the dining room are stunning and perfect for that memorable picture.

After breakfast, get ready for the second part of the rafting trip with the most exciting, class IV rapids. You’ll go further down the river that provide stunning views you’ll want to take pictures of. Rated one of the top rivers in the world, you’ll experience the intimate nature of the rainforest as you raft right through it. The warm water, cascading waterfalls, and opulently lush rainforest with its brilliantly colored plants, animals, and birds indulge your senses on every level. Add in two sections of exhilarating Class III-IV white water rapids and you have a tropical adventure packed with rich experiences that last long after you’ve returned home.

Once you are done, transportation will take you back to the operation center to have a nice warm lunch and change clothes. Afterwards, you’ll travel to your next destination: La Fortuna, home of the famous Arenal Volcano.

Our first stop today will be an exciting tour through the tree tops with an exhilarating Zip Line tour. First, you’ll ride inside an open air gondola to the top of the zip line course. This provides you the best views of the surrounding area and even more. Once on top, you will start the zip line course down the mountain. Cables stretch from mountain to mountain, reaching incredible lengths and heights, crossing canyons, going through the forests, and even sometimes in between clouds. But Sky Trek is more than that. Live a unique experience beyond distance or heights, admire unique views, and feel the adrenaline like no other adventure.

In the afternoon, you will visit to the Hanging Bridges. You’ll take pictures and selfies here with the magnificent Arenal Volcano as a background. Then expert natural history guides will accompany you as they reveal the marvelous secrets hidden in this wildlife sanctuary we call rainforest. Having a specialist guide means you will acquire vast knowledge of the fauna inhabiting the reserve and will be able to watch several species from the forest canopy, undergrowth, and floor.

The end of the day is for relaxation at the hot springs. There are five main springs here with highly mineralized water heated underground by the Arenal Volcano’s magma. Thousands of gallons of this perfect water naturally emanate every minute. The thermal water flows throughout your resort, forming the Tabacon River. You will find dozens of cascading waterfalls and warm pools along the riverbed, each with varying temperatures, water flows and degree of privacy.

You will have the morning to relax and enjoy of the nature of the Rainforest before checking out of the lodge and continuing on to Monteverde. The road will take you around Arenal Lake. This is a perfect spot for that last photo with both the lake and the volcano.

Today we continue our tour of Costa Rica and travel to Monteverde. After check out, you will visit the hanging bridges in Selvatura. The Hanging Bridges are the best way to safely admire the cloud forest canopy at your own pace.

Walking along these bridges, visitors have the opportunity to appreciate a wide variety of Monteverdense flora and fauna and observe the endemic biodiversity of the cloud forest canopy, which is found nowhere else in the world. The suspension bridges offer the best observation point to enjoy the beauty of the cloud forest at all levels.

Next, you will visit one of the largest butterfly gardens in the Americas. This large dome structure has an area of 100 meters long by 30 meters wide and 25 meters high and is covered by a special structure that helps control the temperature inside from the garden. This allows the gardens to host more than 30 different species of butterflies from different altitudes and climates found throughout Costa Rica. In the hummingbird garden, visitors will observe more than 14 different species of hummingbirds, including some species not commonly seen on the Pacific side of the Monteverde continental divide. The garden is a relaxing environment and the beautiful flower arrangements provide the perfect setting for nature photography lovers.

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Rio Celeste at the Tenorio National Park. The legend says that when God finished painting the sky, he washed his brushes in this river and that is why it has that beautiful celestial color. The color of the Celeste River, surrounded by a lush forest, offers an impressive landscape worth knowing and admiring. A river with crystal clear waters that is tinged with turquoise. It is not an act of magic: it is a natural spectacle that you can only witness at the site known as El Teñidero. Perfect selfie spot! 

After a hike, you will enjoy of a delicious and well deserved lunch before arriving to your lodging. 

You have the afternoon to walk around and enjoy nature at leisure. This place is located outside the city, away from civilization. It is just you, nature, birds and meditation. So no partying tonight.

Tamarindo is the perfect combination of city and beach. While it is true, some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica are difficult to access, Tamarindo has built a very popular reputation as a Guanacaste beach town where all visitors can enjoy the beach and its’ beauty. This destination is very popular due to its modern development and paved roads, but don't worry, it is not a city that keeps itself full of people or business. There are so many activities here for every interest. You will not have time to do them all.

Two days to enjoy the beach! You can stay in Tamarindo or visit nearby beaches. As a quiet alternative to nearby Taramindo, Playa Avellana offers white sand beaches and turquoise waters that create an excellent starting point to see endangered sea turtles in Las Baulas National Marine Park. Although surfing is the main activity, due to the strong currents, swimming is not recommended. Instead, relax in the warmth of the sun's rays on the soft sand. Due to its isolated nature, Playa Avellana is a quiet place to enjoy a good book or a quiet nap. It's also a great place to enjoy a picnic, where you can refuel before hitting the waves in the second half of the day. 

A variety of visitors also like to spend an afternoon riding along the coast or watching the sunset from a beachside bar. Your guide, who is a local expert, can also take you to see other sites if you prefer to explore more of the area.

Check out of the hotel and drive from Playa Tamarindo to San José where you’ll check into the hotel. Your guide will pick you up at the hotel for the Farewell Dinner complete with a craft beer tour and tasting hosted by a local expert.

Today you go home after enjoying our little paradise. You will take a private transfer from the hotel to the San Jose International Airport.
