      About this trip

The objective of the Forest Economies Program of Fundación Pachamama is to support and promote bio-entrepreneurship in the Amazon region, with the essence being the sustainable and regenerative use of Amazonian biodiversity and the pursuit of economically viable solutions for community well-being.

Air, water, the cosmos, biodiversity, and soil compose the genealogy of a society. For Amazonian peoples, these factors represent the networks that sustain communities and provide them with life. Their conservation is key to the environmental and social stability of the world. From this perspective, biodiversity resources are common natural goods that are respected, with only what is necessary being extracted from them.

      Fundación Pachamama works to:

      • Develop, market Amazonian products, and promote value chains within fair trade schemes, which avoid deforestation and integrate aspects of innovation to be profitable.
      • Promote the conservation and restoration of forests, recognizing traditional production systems and safeguarding this knowledge.
      • Foster Amazonian well-being, food security, and the maintenance of community livelihoods, thereby building capacities within communities.
      • Strengthen local and regional alliances to drive the bioeconomy in the Amazon region.

We invite you to participate in this unique experience to learn about our work in developing innovative economic initiatives based on the responsible and regenerative use of local biodiversity.

What to expect during this journey?

Accompanied by staff from Fundación Pachamama, this travel experience will allow you to meet wonderful people and projects in the Amazon, who lead initiatives based on the responsible use of biodiversity to find sustainable solutions for the region.

You will meet producer associations that develop their products for national and international markets, as well as private companies with high social and environmental responsibility.

This journey will also allow you to enjoy Amazonian gastronomy and learn about the various products from the farm.

Finally, this is an authentic experience of tourism in the Ecuadorian Amazon. We will explore forests, rivers, and stay in beautiful corners of the Amazon.

My experience was beautiful. I have difficulty putting into words the connection I feel with the jungle, the communities, and the permanent protection of the Amazon that this trip further opened my eyes and heart to. The accommodations, guidance, and related experiences were more than I had hoped for. I will be back. Until next time... Thank you:)

This trip was exemplary. Our guide Estefania was outstanding and an epic leader. Every detail was taken care of and we worried about nothing. I felt so taken care of - our experiences in each community were wonderful, the people, the food and the energy. This trip was one of the best of my life.

This journey was a life changing experience. Being in the jungle surrounded by the sounds of birds, monkeys and other animals felt like being at home or in the womb of Pachamama, meeting those wonderful, dignified, rooted and heartful guides and communities and their sincere intention to serve and protect la selva touched me and changed me. I feel like I have now a kind if family in the jungle. Everything went so smooth, because of the careful planning of the organisation, the heartful hostage of the Archuars and the flexible and creative adaption by our wonderful guide Estefania. She is a precious, competent and joyful bridge builder between the two worlds. The meals were delicious.. The quality, freshness and beautiful decoration turned every meal into a little feast and prayer. Our little adventure group was so caring for each other and amidst this naked beauty and aura of nature we all opened up so deeply. We laughed a lot and had a lot of deep sharings and brainstorms about how to support the vision to protect the forest and how to integrate our amazing experience into our daily life and relations. I know this will be a life-long connection with the pulse of life for me and will influence my decisions, actions and my being. I am grateful and still integrating. Makete!
