Enjoy a morning of leisure.
Cape Town, the Mother City, is historically, culturally, and visually, the most diverse, breathtakingly scenic, and vibrant city you will have the pleasure to visit! From its achingly beautiful natural attributes to its colourful culture; from decadent wine farms to captivating history and architecture - it’s tourist heaven!
After lunch (under own arrangements), you will make your way over to the nearby jetty at the Clocktower at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. Here you board the ferry for your morning Robben Island tour. The rest of the day is at leisure.
For nearly 400 years, Robben Island, 12 kilometers from Cape Town, was a place of banishment, exile, isolation and imprisonment. During the apartheid years Robben Island became internationally known for its institutional brutality. The duty of those who ran the Island and its prison was to isolate opponents of apartheid and to crush their morale. Some freedom fighters spent more than a quarter of a century in prison for their beliefs.
Robben Island came to symbolize, not only for South Africa and the African continent, but also for the entire world, the triumph of the human spirit over enormous hardship and adversity.

You will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to Gold Restaurant for your 13-course tasting menu featuring dishes from across the continent, complimented by vibrant, fun-filled interactive drumming, traditional dancers, face painting and Mali puppets. Drinks and gratuities to be settled direct. Transfer back to your hotel after dinner.
