MAXIMUM IMPACT TRAVEL was created to foster international and domestic travel experiences. Founded by entrepreneur, playwright, author and philanthropist: Jay Cameron. Realizing that most of his life had been consumed by working domestically, a trip to Ghana changed his perspective. His experience transformed the way he saw traveling. As a result, he set out to encourage others to see the world through their own eyes, not only through the eyes of the media. You are invited to join Jay and his team on their adventures around the globe!

This was our second trip with Maximum Impact Travel. My husband & I had an AMAZING time, life changing. It was a 5 start trip. We hit all the tourist spots, had some down time to shop & we went to some GREAT restaurants. Everything ran smoothly & the group became like family. We were also able to visit a shanty town (not normally visited) because Jay had connections. I would definitely recommend this company & book again.

Jay and Maximum Impact did a fantastic job curating a totally memorable trip. From the upscale restaurants with jazz, the interactive african drum session, the elegant vineyard visits for wine tasting, (my favorite was the sparkling wine paring with french white chocolate), the scenery, the great hotel locations in just the right areas, to a personal visit to a Soweto informal settlement, each day brought a new and enlightened experience. In addition to the multitude of activities, (to many to mention here), Jay enlisted celebrated experts in different fields to enhance our immersion into the culture. So many captivating activities it's hard to list them all. It's clear a lot of thought and care went into organizing this tour. I was delighted to benefit from his exacting efforts. Looking forward to my next Maximum Impact Travel adventure!

Our experience with Maximum Impact (Jay Cameron) exceeded our expectations. This was our first tour with Jay and it will not be the last. Everyday was planned to perfection. Filled with heart moving experiences along with unique and creative culinary treasures . Everything was designed to educate and spoil us with new knowledge, adventures and restaurants in the African culture. An example of one day experience, we visited the vibrant and historic Soweto Township in Johannesburg and all it had to offer. From driving through the neighborhood as our tour Guide Herby, shared his knowledge and the history of this town. He answered our questions and gave us different perspectives to understand the resilience of the African experience. We visited the Orlando Towers, a church(Regina Mundi Catholic Church) Michelle Obama visited to see where the South African police shot into to scare defenseless students. These students were apart of the riots that took place in Soweto on June 16, 1976. We visited the memorial museum "Hector Pieterson" . This museum is dedicated to display how Hector Pieterson was killed and the uprising that followed which resulted with over 600 students being killed as a result of police violence. We visited Vilakazi street where Nelson and Minnie Mandela family resided. The only street in the world where 2 Noble Peace Prize winners once lived. (Bishop Desmond Mpilo Tutu) We also enjoyed a delicious native lunch at a local restaurant (1947). We were offered many local dishes and had the opportunity to try then all. Lastly, we were invited to visit a local informal settlement. We participated in a guided walking tour in the settlement. We were invited into homes, preschools and passing out candy and snacks to the beautiful children. This was just 1 day of the tour. We also experienced a safari, vineyards with wine tasting, Robben Island in Capetown, Table Mountain, and so much more... Jay we truly "Thank you" for your journey to enlightening Black Americans about their homeland. We can highly recommend this tour company. This experience was of great value for the exposure! We definitely will be sharing our experiences with everyone. We can conclude by stating , "See Africa for yourself. It will change your Life! Come to Africa to learn and see the Truth about who we are and where we come from" Our family in Africa loves us!

You know sometimes when someone does a really good thing, saying thank you doesn't feel like enough. That's what I feel right now about my latest experience with Jay and Maximum Impact Travel. Going to Ghana was amazing as my first trip to Africa, well experiencing South Africa was NEXT LEVEL. Jay's personal experience with visiting each country beforehand, allows him to curate the best possible tours. They are educational, fun, spiritual and life transforming experiences, that we can take back with us to our families and friends in the hopes of changing their perspectives regarding Africa. Maybe just, maybe they'll want to "see for themselves." Thanks Jay for your courage to step out and step into your passion and purpose. I look forward to many more adventures/tours with Maximum Impact Travel and you. Yolanda (Auntie) Marks

Returning back from South Africa a couple of days ago. This is my second trip with Maximum Impact. Most importantly, the people within my group are repeat customers with Maximum Impact Travel. They treat you like family. Had an amazing time touring JoBurg and Cape Town. You will experience both entertainment and education knowledge on this trip. You will definitely gain new family members with your group. Maximum Impact Travel is connecting the dots and correcting some inaccuracies in our educational system here in the United States. The food selections are awesome. You will have the opportunities to select both local foods and America food. You will definitely get your money worth and experience an excellent time in Africa with Maximum Impact Travel. You will not be disappointed. Next year (2024) will be trip number three with them.

I had the absolute privilege of joining the Gateway Experience Ghana, July 2022. There's only one word to describe it - TRANSFORMATIVE. Jay has done the work and created a truly phenomenal travel experience. Because of his efforts, I connected with the ancestors, with Ghanaians, with Africans and with myself. I fell in love with Ghana and am now planning to move there. Jay and his local team - the incomparable Morris and the loyal Ernest - took care of every detail and provided a trip that was informative, enjoyable and safe. I don't think I could have that experience with any other tour operator. From now on, I will only travel with Jay and Maximum Impact when I visit any place in Africa. In fact, my group and I are planning to travel together again to Tanzania next year. It's just that deep. If you love Black people and Blackness, then love yourself by booking a trip with Maximum Impact!

They are thorough and very attentive as there are several steps to traveling to Ghana; the entire Maximum Impact team made the booking process seamless with EASY-to-follow instructions. All questions I had were answered promptly and professionally. And, oh my goodness, once you get to Ghana, you will be warmly received by the Maximum Impact team and treated like a V.I.P. Accommodations are clean and super-comfortable and offer all amenities. Don’t hesitate booking the trip if you’re traveling solo as I was. It’s a trip of a lifetime where you will meet wonderful traveling companions, tour the country with knowledgeable guides and wish that the trip was longer. I LOVED IT! A powerful and stirring cultural tour that also includes fun-loving activities. Outstanding job by Maximum Impact. I’m already planning my next tour with you.
